Hardly! I trust the webmaster of this blog. Like he or she I too guard against the bad hackers or miscreants who seek to cross the line or endanger information security. The data I protect is, shall we say, more sensitive.

Yet I do know that the motivations of some seek to hack databases, force malicious phone-home malware intrusions, scarf credit card numbers, email addresses, phone numbers and other warpages often foisted by angry people whom seek vengeance against whatever force they seek to blame whether it be Karl Rove or Bush or FEMA, the internal voices that they hear or whatever.

The best way not to be though a thief or crank is modification of one’s internet behavior so as not to emulate one or, as you claim, to be mistaken as one.

The oil belongs to the land owner. Supposedly. I can remember when I was a kid I used to go to the rigs with my Dad sometimes and one time I saw some old man sitting on his porch a stone’s throw from the rig. Daddy said the old boy was not too well educated and he gave the rights away more or less. But he refused to leave. That was 45 years ago. I was about 10.

Today people are a lot smarter about those leases. But it is true, that whether it is oil or gas or coal, the owner of the land owns what the rights to what is under it..he is the guy you pay.

Actually not neccessarily at all. Someone can have mineral rights, and not be the land owner. The land owner can have no rights at all to it, and actually can not prevent whoever has mineral rights, to drill and explore. However, if someone does that, they have to pay “damages” to the land owner.

It looks like a safe bet.

1. GM posted a $15.5 Billion 2nd Quarter loss. Union employees will lose jobs.
2. Airlines are cutting 60 million seats by years end. Translates to more union jobs lost.
3. What hurts airlines hurts Boeing. Translates to more union jobs lost.

Congressional Democrats went on a 5 week vacation, without addressing energy, while real Americans are cancelling vacations because of the price of oil.

Now about all she can rely upon is ALA activist public librarians to buy her books alongside the bulk purchasing wacky PACs like Act Up and ACLU. Two of my local libraries have purchased and displayed copies of Stretch’s book and one can already see the dust collecting on the covers. Same thing happened for Chappy Kennedy’s book where the same library system of about 40 branches squandered taxpayer loot on about 5 copies of Teddy’s book per location. Those gathered dust too. The point obviously being activist librarians to send their dear Chappy a contribution not to increase the quality or usefulness of library materials. Par for the course for most of the angry hippie books in print, too.

Pelosi may eventually have to settle upon enough fried Lefty professors requiring the purchase of her book for some of the pointless “Studies” course polluting modern college curricula. Or as others have already stated the books to find a deserved place next to the Al Gore and Martha Mapes flops at the Dollar Tree.

When Barack Obama first decided to run for the presidency, he embraced the green cause. Al Gore’s film, An Inconvenient Truth, about global warming had just become the biggest grossing documentary in history and Mr Gore had won the Nobel prize. But recently Mr Obama has been talking more about thrift than trees. Instead of showing off his recycling skills, he explains that his children don’t receive Christmas or birthday presents.

It’s not just the economic downturn that has harmed the green order. People have become wary of environmental causes that can turn out to do more harm than good. They don’t want wind turbines marching across Britain’s moors when nuclear power stations can do more to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. They worry that washing and bleaching all those non-disposable nappies may be damaging the ozone layer, that the massive incentives for biofuels have distorted the world food market, and that green taxes are actually stealth taxes.

It’s the downturn that has made greenery look unappetising – but it may yet prove to do more than anything to save the planet.

Catch the political anti-Green British article linked @ Drudge. Nancy’s so out of touch, she’s off her rocker on vacation. Her granny retrofit screwed the Constitution to profit by usurping it and destroying us in one fell swoop of the DNC gavel.

If it is so easy to be in Congress – so easy that one can take on 5 other full-time jobs at the same time – then maybe we need to rethink the responsibilities of those positions, or stop paying these people for jobs that they only spend a few hours a week at.

P.S. I don’t think that anyone in Congress should be allowed to run for a different position while holding onto their current seat. That is just a ridiculous state of affairs.
