New third-party ad: Obama no longer the biggest celebrity in the race; Update: Her plan’s better than Obama’s, says McCain camp

She’s got a sense of humor, a thoughtful energy policy, and nearly as much federal legislative experience as Barry O. If grotesque overexposure and grandiose ego are now prerequisites for the presidency, then the choice is … actually, the choice still isn’t clear, is it? Exit question: Way better than Bob Barr, though, right?
Update: Hot.
In the unkindest cut of all, McCain’s spokesperson Tucker Bounds tells TMZ that on the subject of energy, Paris is deeper than Barack. He says, “Sounds like Paris is taking the ‘All of the Above’ energy approach that John McCain has advocated — both alternatives and drilling. Perhaps the reality is that Paris has a more substantive energy plan than Barack Obama.”

Quite possible. However, I repeat – two drinks, sexy outfit, and disease be damned, damn near every man would sleep with a hot billionairess.

You can keep her. She’s got nothing on my wife.

She actually has more executive experience than Obambi does and would probably do a better job as POTUS than he would.
Mojave Mark on August 6, 2008 at 2:44 AM
Beautiful; I hope your wife sees this.
tikvah on August 6, 2008 at 4:41 AM
LOLZ…Paris Hilton “reading”.
Every bit as believable as Obama not being around for any of Wright’s politically inconvenient “sermons”…
She does have a better energy policy than Obama though.
Probably written for her (phoenetically, with easy to understand illustrations using duckies and bunnies) by Ben Stein.
Exit question: Any way we can get her to leave the country like Madonna and Gwenny Paltrow? Y’know, just to be rid of one more politically ignorant, mostly useless (unless you’re “dating” her, I guess…) celebrity airhead?
SuperCool on August 6, 2008 at 6:06 AM
This is supposed to mock McCain (according to the Drudge headline anyway)? Hell, I think she proves his point.

She is pretty.

That is true: That particular mosquito will not bite you again, but if your goal is to quit being bitten by mosquitos, you must do something besides just killing mosquitos.
As long as there is a reason for a person to become a terrorist/insurgent/AQ then we will never “win” the war on terror. Think about that – as long as a person has a reason, be it a perceived injustice, a directive by a religion, a foreign “occupier”, etc., then there will always be more terrorists/insurgents/AQ.
King of the Britons on August 6, 2008 at 7:00 AM
Is it wrong that he energy policy seems the most in-line with my own stance? Ah well, see you at the debates bitches.
Exit Question: is calling Obama a bitch racist?

Now that this is back to the top, I want to re-iterate that Paris Hilton R-O-C-K-S! She gets a lot of flack, but she’s an American treasure. She is a reason that Al Qaeda would point to as a reason to hate America – that alone makes her the all-American girl.
She has made more money for other people than she has for herself just by letting them take her picture and hang out with her at clubs. She’s got tons of businesses and she doesn’t take anything from anyone. She just has a lot of fun and that’s what you are supposed to do in America.
ThackerAgency on August 6, 2008 at 8:53 AM
What’s really scary for Obama is, that she read the prompter better than Obama and has a much better enegry plan than just inflate the tires and get a tune up.
If I weren’t married and had the chance, yeah, I’d hit that, but only once. Okay, maybe twice.
Torch on August 6, 2008 at 9:25 AM
Too bad her Grandpa is dead. He would have made a great VP for her, (or either of the other bozos, for that matter.)
Small town boy who made good. One of the greatest business men ever. More international experience than most Secretaries of State at the END of their careers. Good Conservative. Elected as a Republican Legislator in his early 20s.
Heck, Now that I consider it, if Paris is a genetic inheritor of 1/10 of Conrad’s traits, she would be a better President than Obama or McCain.

Paris Hilton’s rebuttal was great.
Noncommital without playing dumb.
Very smart presentation; a hot dish.
maverick muse on August 6, 2008 at 9:51 AM
Note to Paris: You’re not THAT hot. (But you are incredibly wealthy.)
I must say, however, that your position on the energy issues do actually make lot more sense than Obama’s. So, yeah, I’d vote for you over Obama.
Lawrence on August 6, 2008 at 9:52 AM
What a revelation? Drill responsibly and work toward alternatives…..
roux on August 6, 2008 at 10:02 AM
And while Obama supporters, you know, the onese who are actually carrying water for him and the DNC, claim that McCain’s ad was ‘racist’ because they showed Obama with two white women – this response yet again underlines the theme of the ad in the first place. Obama is being supported because he is a rockstar in his cheering fan’s eyes.
He has no substance.
Even the response from Hilton to McCain had more substance than anything that comes out of Obama.
wise_man on August 6, 2008 at 10:26 AM
This is awesome. I wonder how much Republicans paid Paris to do this?
Anything that keeps the copnversation going about McCain’s ad and Barack obama’s vapid celebrityhood and stupid energy policy is good for John McCain and the Republicans. Anyone who thinks this is going to hurt McCain is dumb.
rockmom on August 6, 2008 at 10:39 AM
The Dali Bama campaign is now bankrupt. The only thing they can throw out now is to be scared of Paris. You know, she’s got blonde hair, name’s a little funny, looks a lot like those guys on those dollar bills, blue eyes, oh and did I mention…….she’s white?? Obama’s campaign better keep reminding his disciples of the old Liberal line, “we need to start voting for people that look like us”.
DfDeportation on August 6, 2008 at 10:56 AM
I support drilling Paris.
roninacreage on August 6, 2008 at 10:56 AM

SD,
C’mon, it’s a great ad. Ya gotta laugh.
DfDeportation on August 6, 2008 at 11:01 AM
By the way, no she doesn’t. She’s reading what was written for her and saw it as a way to garner publicity. Her most original sense of humor was coming up with “firecrotch”. If you don’t know what I’m talking about you should feel fortunate.
SouthernDem on August 6, 2008 at 11:01 AM
I have a great sense of humor, really I do! But I despise her. She’s the epitome of what’s wrong with American culture.

So, has anyone asked what is Britney’s energy policy yet?
(Sorry.. brian-2-fingers malfunction.)

It truly doubt paris is an obama supporter..we’ll just have to wait and see who she decides to pick and then we’ll support whoever she decides on.
SaintOlaf on August 6, 2008 at 12:20 PM
Trollop seems appropriate in this case.
And yes, Paris did to to some very fine schools, as good as if not better than Barack.
Lawrence on August 6, 2008 at 12:24 PM
Britney is a bimbo.
I love long legs, a slim figure and pony tails so I’m writing her in. Voting in MA for anything other than BO is a wasted vote so I might as well have fun and base my vote on the best pony tails.

I thought she was a high school drop out.

To the McCain camp: anything would be better than Barry’s plan.
Christine on August 6, 2008 at 12:40 PM
IMHO, McCain jumped the shark making his stupid celebrity and Moses ads. They’re not even funny, and now the campaign is going to devolve into this. His campaign is out to lunch.
gxpgxp on August 6, 2008 at 12:44 PM
Uhmmm…yeah, that’s what I hear. Well, she is more qualified to talk about an energy plan with all her experience in drilling, pumping, and fluid management…
Wyznowski on August 6, 2008 at 12:49 PM
She might be “hot” but her grandpa disowned her.
Entelechy on August 6, 2008 at 12:53 PM
I know Madison, it wouldn’t be the money, no matter how much, or how little :)
Entelechy on August 6, 2008 at 12:53 PM
She did, didn’t she
She comes across smarter than Obama. She knows how to play the nuances of her invented image.
Wit is not IQ but it is in the equation. Obama is very lacking in wit.
Has anyone noticed this? The press is busy keeping the noise level up to fill in the blanks.
Paris could out fox Obbie any day in a match without handlers. Physically too.
This commercial does no harm to McCain and puts Obbie on the defensive with his energy solution (tire guages, everyone buy a new car, burn corn and get a windmill)
I enjoyed the spot.

McCain should run an ad that says “Even America’s Slut knows more about energy independence than Barry”!
sabbott on August 6, 2008 at 4:22 PM
Sounds like Paris de Arc, in her video clip; captured the essence of Obama’s plan and Saint Mc’s, not so much…!
J_Gocht on August 6, 2008 at 4:43 PM
I found St Mc’s offer to enter his wife Cindy, in the raunchy “Miss Buffalo Chip Contest” at Sturgis very witty; strangely funny, actually.
You may be onto something there “entagor”, I can’t imagine Obama doing the same for Michelle.
J_Gocht on August 6, 2008 at 5:01 PM
It’s difficult to hear what she’s saying. But I think it’s just me.
scottjenn on August 6, 2008 at 5:05 PM

It’s pretty much like what she said in the video clip; with respect to her energy policy.

Say again…?
J_Gocht on August 6, 2008 at 5:33 PM
Send_Me; you should have a “heart to heart” with Saint Mc concerning his suggestion that Cindy should participate in the Miss Buffalo Chip contest…?
J_Gocht on August 6, 2008 at 6:04 PM
She’s cute, and she likes men. ( you know, she likes……..you know )
So, she’s got my vote. Is she Obama’s VP?
Janos Hunyadi on August 6, 2008 at 6:12 PM
The ad was funny and done well. McCain’s ad was less a mockery of celebrities themselves and more one that mocks those who idolize them.
Connie on August 6, 2008 at 6:48 PM
Oh you linked to Huffpo….it figures.
Would you like a quote about domestic drilling, from one month ago, by your flip flopping girly man messiah?
SaintOlaf on August 6, 2008 at 6:51 PM
Saint_O; I say follow the truth where ever it leads, yeah whither it goes…!
The fact that the moderators here didn’t see the irony in Saint Mc’s offering Cindy as a tasty morsel and contestant in the “Miss Buffalo Chip Contest” may escape your circumspection; mine it did not!

DfDeportation on August 6, 2008 at 7:14 PM
No offense, but the only people that see it this way are conservatives. Nearly everyone else sees this as a smackdown of McCain.
It may be funny, and the energy policy bit may actually make sense, but it’s far from a win for McCain.
Secondly, you actually think she had any part in this besides mouthing the words?

I still say she looks like Frank Burns with blonde hair..too much of a ferret face. But she did read this ad very well..I heard it on Rush today..and it made me laugh. Rush described her as a ‘celebutard’ which I hate to admit, I have not heard before. I thought it was hilarious.
