Justified in pointing out unethical behavior of a lawmaker? Yep, absolutely. I’m just wondering about the method used here. Shame is a very powerful tool, but to go out of one’s way to shame someone lacks class, to be perfectly honest. Now, writing a letter of discontent to the newspaper or to other members of congress expressing a lack of approval in his behavior is one thing, but to, as I said, openly mock him inside the Capitol is pretty childish. How about passing out flyers or pushing for him to get unseated by an opposing politician? How about something constructive for a change rather than finger-pointing?
This, right here, is why I can’t stand politics. Political philosophy is great, but this is not it. In the past 2300+ years since Plato’s Republic, we’ve come to this? Please.

I do have a problem with labeling them journalism, because they are not. They are entertaining, and make a good point. They are not journalism.

No offense, but you’re getting into opinion. Journalism’s first and fundamental premise is to get information in a sensible and serious manner. This was not what Jason did), nor is it what Michael Moore or Morgan Spurlock do. They are presenting real-time political cartoons.

A much better example of journalism would be Evan Coyne Maloney, because he asks serious questions, even if he expects answers that are hilarious. It is not the job of the reporter to deliver the punchline. It is the job of the reporter to be the straight man. “What kind of bags would you use to hide cash in a freezer?” is the punchline. Do you see the difference?

well yes, it could be similar to what the “truther people” do when the ask questions and someone else films it(if they aren’t interrupting a meeting, or a function, that’s normal citizen journalism)
