As for the rest, it is mostly autonomous now, they already have a state controlled by palestinians. We control whether it will be recognized as such. From there we will give to our friends for peace, what we give them is the legitimacy over their autonomy, the use of land we conquered from Jordan, assurance we will not kill them and roll tanks over their heads, peace. They will never have a state as is commonly envisioned, more like Luxembourg, demilitarized, with heavy ties & reliance on the regional states, Israel, Egypt & Jordan. They are too small, too dependent and there is no longer enough territory for anything else. We cannot forget, 60 years have passed, life has go on while the Arabs stagnate.

If they wanted a state in the most classical sense, armies, full borders, etc they should have taken it in 1948. It has been 60 years, now they can have what is offered or they can die trying to take it all from us. But we will always extend our hand in peace, it is the leaders, the guerrilla groups, the terrorists, & Islamists that want war. The majority of Palestinians want to live in Peace, just like Jordanians do so now, just like Egypt even though we are not best friends, we are neighbors. We stay off their lawn, they stay off ours. The Palestinians will always have the IDF outside, we will control the borders with Jordan & Egypt in a regional security pact. That is why we must go and topple Hamas in gaza, their existence, the world & Israel allowing them to have a terror state there jeopardizes the whole concept of peace itself.

The PA has its own elections, its justice system (its own legal, court, prison & policing system) controls its economy or lack thereof, its own educational system, their own passports, their own medical and health systems, their own electricity / utilities control, etc etc – this is a state, near total full autonomy. All that is left is for them to show they can handle it, and also they are ready to sign their names to peace.. so far so bad.

Do you feel Jerusalem will have to be divided to “secure peace?”

If Jerusalem is divided it will bring about war. Remember Gilo during 2000-02? That’s what most of the city would be like. They’d be in machine gun firing range of most of the Jewish neighborhoods in the city.

Also, I cannot imagine that providing Palestinians their own state will remotely provide for more security for Israel when the Palestinians, et al. believe that the real issue is the right of Israel to exist. I guess that’s why I don’t fully understand the continuing “negotiations,” unless it is to simply buy Israel more time.

The continuing negotiations are because many (maybe even most) Israelis cannot live with the reality that we will never be a ‘normal’ country where people can go to shopping malls and movie theaters and restaurants without being searched and ride buses without keeping a lookout for men wearing overcoats in the middle of the summer. Never unless we are willing to get rid of those ‘Palestinians’ who won’t live in peace.

Instead, our government continues to expel Jews from their homes while anyone who suggests that the ‘Palestinians’ should leave is branded as a ‘racist.’

Someone remind me why we should support giving either of these groups a state.

1. Because rewarding their bad behavior will instantly turn them into peace-loving, civilized good neighbors.

2. Because that grinning idiot, Jimmy Carter, says it’s the right thing to do, and Jimmy Carter is sooooooo smart.

3. Because legitimizing the Iranian-backed terrorist activities will discourage Iran from further meddling and instigation of hostile acts.

We will not be holding on to large swaths of Palestinian populated territory because almost no Israelis desire or wish this – On the left, in the center or on the right, so we have a lot to offer, we should secure peace and the right to pursue it by negotiation and subsequently by force if circumstance dictates.

Personally, I vote for voluntary transfer. 76% of Israelis favor it. And lots of ‘Palestinians’ would like to leave.

The notion we can disregard the concept of peace with the Palestinians is a sure recipe for the destruction of Israel.

By not pursuing peace we give up our justification to also use force as a free democratic society. The goal should be peace, securing Jerusalem, and the major settlement blocks, we do not need villages teeming with several hundred thousand welfare basket cases.

Let’s hope we can find a partner for this, and that everyone will be able to grow facial hair freely.

I sympathize with your point. It’s certainly your prerogative to walk away from the chess match, but that doesn’t mean the game is suspended. It just means you aren’t playing any more. I’m suggesting a move, since the match is still on.

What I fail to see is exactly what is gained by continuing to hand out sustenance to these people.

They are miserable people. They all are obsessed with killing in dying.

Why not oblige them regarding the latter? If a mass group of people want to commit suicide, preventing it is an act of mercy IF they are peaceful people who have simply lost their way.

This is a group of iredeemable sociopaths and psychopaths, whose only desire in life is to kill other people. Giving them the sustinance it takes to keep them alive is akin to allowing a horse to live after it has shattered its leg.

It’s not kind, it’s not merciful, it just prolongs the suffering.

Pales/Hamas are parasites that feed only on hatred. The world should stop enabling their existence and “let them eat their hatred.”

No, these simple but violent people are historically and culturally retarded. They are just nomadic camel herders that abuse their women.
The only thing their culture does is consume food ,blow up children and commit honor killings.
They have done nothing good for mankind, (since Islam started) they are much like locusts upon the land.
