Another funny thing on that old blog–I think here there are so many threads, people drop old ons and don’t go bother to go back, but on that blog with only 4-5 a day sometimes people would keep arguing for days on an old thread. Everyone would have forgotten about it until someone would mention, hey so and so are still arguing from last week. It could be highly amusing to see.

I didn’t want to throw a damper on things–just let you have more info.

Maybe this won’t work then. It is fun to come back here I do it just to look around. I’m always by my self so I don’t comment too much. Just once , well twice on two different threads after they were closed for a while. Weird I know.

That means that even if other commenters never come on an old thread, a moderator can glance down any comments made recently and see what’s being said without going back and forth between threads. It’s an easy way to moderate if you need to do so. That’s not to say that will be done, but you need to know it’s a possibility. The admin side here may be different with bells and whistles, but that’s what I’ve seen on other blogs.

I’d feel more comfortable if he didn’t have such limited regional appeal.

It was said above ’something about him turns voters off’. Maybe that’s true. For a guy who spent million$, i wouldn’t exactly call the above link doing ‘well’

It gets even more limited if you ignore the caucus states, which have very limited participation, and just look at the primary states. Among the states he won, Nevada, Wyoming, Maine, Montana, Minnesota, Colorado, North Dakota, and Alaska were all caucuses; the only actual primaries Mitt won were his “home” states of Massachusetts, Michigan, and Utah. Some of the other yellowish states on that map, such as Iowa, were states that he actually lost. Now, some of that vast green and blue expanse was filled in after Mitt dropped out, but that doesn’t negate the fact that his appeal was limited to caucusgoing activists (not regular pull-the-lever voters) in a few states. There is no real evidence for his electoral strength in any of these places, and polls have shown him to be at the very best neutral, and at the very worst catastrophic for the McCain campaign’s appeal nationally.

The youtube of Mitt defending abortion just killed it for me. I just don’t git Mitt.

The guy they fired, an ex-relative. Was a trooper caught on the job drinking in his patrol car and shooting moose from his state patrol car (two separate incidents). A real winner.
He is fighting his dismissal.
Another plus for her, get rid of bad cops.
