Clyburn doesn’t mention women, but all political issues are ultimately identity-politics issues now so here’s the obligatory primer from Mother Jones last year on why global warming is sexist in practice as well. Remember, the word from the Gore school is that climate change poses a mortal threat to civilization; if you accept that conclusion, arguing over which groups will suffer most from it is like arguing over who’d be hit hardest by the seven plagues. Even so, it’s a shrewd move by environmentalists. Accusing people of being cavalier about the apocalypse won’t do much to mobilize them, but accusing them of being cavalier about de facto racism? There is honest debate as to the existence and affects of Global warming. There is not doubt that the remedies for the Global Climate Crisis with hurt the poor all over the world hardest. Actually, in a sarcastic but pseudoscientific way, white people ‘benefit’ from global cooling. Whereas black people will do ‘better’ in a global warming context. But in reality the entire planet will do better if the globe slowly warms. Sudden dramatic volcanic cooling — as after the Mt. Tambora eruption in 1815 — is a known and dangerous mechanism which can cause mass crop failures, just one of many deadly effects. Unlike global warming causing harm, the opposite being true throughout human history (see, Medieval Warm Period and grapes in England), global cooling could wipe us out.
Now they’re trying to say global warming causes global cooling. (I’m not making that up.) Just like virginity causes pregnancy.

Global Warmingwill affect those not best equipped to weather (yuk, yuk) the change the most will be hit the hardest and that, the stark reality is that the poor, here, as well as blacks, asians and to an extent South Americans will be hit the hardest.The problem is that Anthropological Global Warming is a farce but the Goracle and his co-religionists are still using the fear of it to force through policies that will kill more people in 50 years than natural climate change variations could do in 10,000 years. You want Armageddon? Gore and his acolytes are intent on giving it to you. And that will hit minorities hardest, but for them it’s all in a good cause — reducing the world population by half.

Watermelon Joke.
There was a farmer who raised watermelons. He was doing pretty well but he was disturbed by some local kids who would sneak into his watermelon patch at night and eat watermelons.
After some careful thought he came up with a clever idea that he thought would scare the kids away for sure. So he made up the sign and posted it in the field. The next day the kids show up and they see this sign. It says, “Warning, one of the watermelons in this field has been injected with cyanide.”
So the kids run off, made up their own sign and posted it next to the sign that the farmer made. The farmer shows up the next week and when he looks over the field he notices that no watermelons are missing but he notices a new sign next to his.
He drives up to the sign which reads,
“Now there are two.”

Looked at from another perspective, his remarks could be interpreted as insulting to blacks and other minorities. He is, after all, telling them that they lack survival mechanisms. I would think that minorities, who claim to have fought their way up, would resent this and point to evidence that it is not so. I would hope they have pride enough in their accomplishments to refute and deny this man.
