It’s a question of -fact.-

Romney got beaten like a rented mule by the rickety organization of the oldest man ever to run for President, a man absolutely detested by the conservative core of his party.

He barely kept ahead of the even more rickety and underfunded organization of a socially liberal character like the Huckster, despite having the advantages of higher name recognition and a vastly larger war-chest.

Romney hasn’t shown himself to be politically competent in a context that is reasonably favorable and knowledgeable about business, i.e. the Republican primaries. The press will have a field day with him in the general election, since he will not have the time or the media access to explain himself.

I’m not using in the word flippantly Saint Olaf. You fit the description above. And any logical, reasonable thinking person who reads your screeds against Romney’s Mormonism knows it.

Then again, maybe that is why they like romney so much…the man has no convictions whatsoever(that we know of)..he will say or do anything to get into power!

The fact that Mitt Romney rose to the highest level and became as successful in this arena is reason enough for him to be not only McCain’s VP choice but POTUS someday.

BTW outside of Romney’s competence as a reason for him being selected VP, I think Saint Olaf and ebrown2 and their Mormon bigotry and class warfare rhetoric would make for an exciting VP choice.

Identity politics is what has been fueling Obama and the Democrats races. Well here is a bigotry that McCain can use to get some free press. I actually think the evangelicals who won’t vote for Romney have given McCain a social issue to address the nation with.

The first time a reporter asks him is he worried about losing some evangelicals with his choice of Romney, he could say something to the effect; I would rather lose an election than have religious bigotry tell me who the best man for the Vice Presidency is. He could say I don’t care if he’s is a Mormon, Muslim, Hindu,Jewish Mitt Romney is the most qualified man for the job.

You are sick. Never mind the racist, bigoted behavior of people just like you against Catholics. Believe me, I’ve had my fill of people like you. Perhaps if Romney is selected, it will marginalize you to the cesspool where you belong.

Then they could have a legitimate way to portray ALL republicans are RACIST, white billionaires via the mormons long history of racism against blacks,that even resides in their scriptures to this very day.

This will also help defuse the ‘age issue’ that the Democrats constantly raise.
