Can you imagine the delicious chill it must give Obama to know a whole military base prepared for his visit, and he could just blow them off, knowing how much of their time and energy he’d wasted. It has to be a high for even someone with as much arrogance as he’s demonstrated. A snap of his fingers and he can put people through their paces, just to watch them scramble. What a good feeling that must be as he heads to the gym so a female reporter in heat can rub up against him. He’s really got his mojo workin’.

I won’t say the whole base would have been working to prepare for him, but there likely would have been a number of people…

…people that could have been, and likely wanted to be doing better things.

As for Obamanation getting chills…I think he’s so clueless, he wouldn’t have realized there would have been military members working to prepare for him to arrive, and wouldn’t care if he did.

If he would have crawled back to his hotel and did something other than stage another photo-op in a gym, this might not be so disgusting.

This reminds me of that bastard Clinton when he scratched his fat belly rather than salute the Marine as he boarded Marine One.

The implication is, of course, that the U.S. has not been working with its allies.

Since Bush has politicized the Pentagon, he forced Obama not to attend by making the Pentagon call Obama and warn him about politicizing the event.

So it’s not Obama’s fault, and nobody cares about it because it’s not covered in the mainstream news (only on blogs).

Our adventures in Kosovo…well now, I believe we lost one stealth bomber. The world perceived this as something quite different than “our adventures”.

J_, I love that you are able to encapsulate the world’s perception so neatly. If the world was so clearly in consensus for action in Kosovo, why did they wait for us? Why didn’t the Europeans just handle this one on their own?

I also love the logic of “one lost stealth bomber”. By this logic, we not only wouldn’t engage in warfare of any kind, we wouldn’t actually fly the planes at all, from the risk of death or injury to our soldiers, the great cost, and the carbon footprint.

This tells me the military had been informed B’HO was going to meet the troops, and had made preparations for his photo-op visit.

Why else would they make preparations to be “ready for him” if the campaign had not contacted the military for a visit?
