The manager of the Chiefs is my baseball hero, Ryne Sandberg. According to the article, he wasn’t at the game. Maybe he left early for the Hall of Fame weekend. I’d like to think that if he was there, the awesomeness of his presence would have quelled the hostilites.

They say everything’s purer about the minor-league game, and after this, I think I agree. The purest baseball still belongs to the 12-13 yr olds in the Little League World Series

He’ll probably be sitting out the rest of the season anyway and probably be looking for a job in the next, but him still sitting in jail is better new as far as I’m concerned.

Wellllll……as I am currently living in Dayton and enjoy going to Dragon’s games, this is all part of baseball. Brush back pitches, balls thrown at the head in retaliation…it has always been part of the game. The bad part is the pitcher from Peoria throwing a ball towards the Dragon’s dugout and missing to the point that it hits a fan in the face. The person was treated and released and the pitcher is still sitting in the Montgomery County jail on felonious assault.
