Well, that’ll work with the “Who the heck is Portman?” vote, as in neutral, “who cares?” and “wha?” (Except that Wikipedia labels him “a friend of Bush” — not exactly crunchy good stuff for that fiercely independent — and proud of it! — Mav image.)

The problem is that McCain is who he is – he’s like a shank steak. Sure, you can try to dress it up all you like with spices and sauce, but no matter what you do it’s still the worst cut of meat on the cow.
