Democrats in Congress want to raise the federal gas tax on the rest of America, but at the same time actively evade paying it.

Thanks, Ed. Words do matter and calling tax evasion, tax avoidance is letting Dems get away living in their personal rose-colored world. The City of Denver ought to be held liable and compensate both the State and the Feds for the taxes evaded. If they were, this kind of corruption would be far less prevalent.

I wish McCain would go to town on this. This is a HUGE story, and i don’t know why they are not running with it. This is a big deal…cus obama is in charge of this thing. It doesn’t matter what happens, it’s the symbolism.

And an even bigger question, why were they allowed to get gas BEFORE the contract was signed? Providing a service without a contract??? How stupid is that, ESPECIALY when the group is KNOWN to be underfunded.

Denver’s mayor wanted people to think that the GOP was getting the same deal for their convention, but that was nothing more than a bald-faced lie.

Denver has been getting shafted by the DNC, and this move was shafting Denver and Colorado taxpayers who were footing the bill for the DNC’s own driving habits.
