Obama’s advance team visits the pyramids.

Oh, now you’ve done it!

The Germans have a long history of becoming glassy-eyed fanatics over one guy, don’t be so surprised.

Give me a break. All I’m doing is trying to throw some caution into the mix here, that’s all.

The more I think about it,if Obama wanted a hero’s

Gaza! a hum!

canopfor on July 24, 2008 at 12:19 AM

I really think Obama’s claim to have passed a bill out of “his” Senate Banking Committee was a bigger deal – a truly bizarre gaffe, an ueber-gaffe, his typical resume puffing brought to a new pathological level before the entire world, and in the precise context of his trying to re-assure an ally about his seriousness and trustworthiness.

How is this guy being allowed to stay in the race?

CK MacLeod on July 24, 2008 at 12:15 AM

How is that any bigger than 57 states, or not knowing the difference between Veterans day and Memorial day, or giving kids breathalyzers when their in the hospital? the guy is a gaffe machine!

chriscoolc on July 24, 2008 at 12:14 AM

It shows that Obama and his huge posse didn’t see anything wrong with it.. they didn’t ask the people to remove the banner, or refuse to visit unless they removed it..

his inaction endorsed it.

Yea, I suppose. However, they ARE trying to figure out how to run this or if they should at all.

They’re all mistakes based either on exhaustion or ignorance or some combination, but he didn’t just refer to something mistakenly, he either lied about or fantasized participation in a committee and sponsorship of a bill for the sake of a BS story meant to assuage someone’s concerns about him. It’s the difference between being kind of stupid and being a stupid pathological liar. Everyone’s stupid now and then or about some things – though his comment about 10,000 people dying in a tornado was pretty damn remarkably stupid for anyone over the age of 9 or so, but telling an easily disprovable lie at a press conference… that’s just bizarre.

CK MacLeod on July 24, 2008 at 1:15 AM

In the picture on Drudge, you can see an Obama banner in Hebrew draped over a barricade…in front of the Wailing Wall…there’s something wrong with that…the inappropriate arrogance of this campaign is mindblowing.

rosewaning on July 24, 2008 at 1:31 AM

I have to agree with CK; Obama’s banking statement wasn’t a slip of the tongue, it was one of those spur of the moment things he thought would bolster his current speech.

It was a blatant lie, and if our press had one ounce of self-respect they would pounce on him for it. At the least I hope the McCain campaign makes a tv commercial about; the more doubt they can foster about Baracky, the better.

Yeah. If you are talking about the pictures on the front of Drudge they both say the same thing: Barack Obama.

Really.

The one on the right has some small print but I can’t read it from the pic @ Drudge. If you have link to better pic, I’ll look again.

Spirit of 1776 on July 24, 2008 at 1:59 AM

That’s a broken promise – and don’t ask me to parrot Obama’s self-defense because I found it ludicrous. In that case, it wasn’t the flip-flop, but his brazen refusal to admit that he was caving that similar to today’s Banking Committee flub. The latter was something different though. It’s like dutifully recording a yes vote in the Senate, and then coming out immediately and taking credit for having voted no. In this case, he was taking credit for something he had nothing to do with – the kind of thing he’s done in many of his ads – but gone even a step further and making up details that seem to support the story… and all for the purpose of reinforcing his credibility on another point! I mean, it’s downright insane.

I can’t believe it’s going to help him in Israel, though his foreign hosts are going to remain reluctant about publicly alienating the possible next president of the US. You can bet, though, that everyone in the world who’s remotely serious is taking careful confidential notes about him. He really does represent all by himself an entire new level of potential instability in an already unstable region and world.

To have the Barack Obama campaign & supporters drape his banner at the holiest spot in Judaism during the morning prayers is an affront of monumental proportions to me.

That this cynical two talking politician who in reality is a liar and is hailed as a Messiah by so many, including vast swaths of Israel and Jewish haters, should coopt our holy site like this for a photo-op is an abomination, if he draped that banner on the Mosque 50 meters away WWIII would have started. I have never seen something so callous, the wall is a spot of piety, humility before Gd. Hundreds of thousands have perished there in the name of freedom to worship which was denied for eons, in the name of Islam, Christianity, and of course Judaism, the site of our holy temple, I am shocked.

If he wanted to go pray, as a Christian feel the spirituality that is one thing, an honored thing even. We often have missions and tourists comprising hundreds visit the wall in full emotion, but this!? To use us like this for the benefit of the world press and American Jews to sway some votes so he can assist himself to the presidency, astounding.

saus on July 24, 2008 at 8:51 AM

I was expecting more reverence

Look at the picture Drudge has up. Obama had two big “Obama ‘08″ banners put up and he’s complaining about the lack of reverence? God forbid someone heckle the Obamassiah. Putz.

srhoades on July 24, 2008 at 8:54 AM

Thank heavens the Jews are no sucker for a Soros puppet!

Their population’s generalized reputation for higher intelligence is statistically given further substance.

Even Obamarx’s previous statement, Jerusalem is the capital of Israel and should be ruled exclusively by the Jews, was received as what it was, EGYPTIAN SALE WHOLECLOTH, that created more havoc than what existed before he opened his forked tongue fat trap.

Obamarx didn’t get raving adoration from US troops or from crowds of Arab supporters. The only raving he’s going to get is from European ubertards who hope to buy their EU world domination via this POTUS election by owning this putz puppet named Obama. We all have already noted Obama’s projected use the office of US President as a mere stepping stone (each of us is one of those he’d grind into stone) on his journey up Mount Parnassus to commune with Apollo’s muses.

Obama is one of those lunatics who sleeps with earphones listening to his own prophetic mission to own the world as Mohammed. Jesus defied the Temptation. Obama bought into world domination with his soul. Obama has no great intellect to even assume any comparison with Faust’s pursual of knowledge or power. Obama is not in the Garden of Eden partaking of the fruit of knowledge of good and evil, so assuming himself an Adam figure for Afro-Americans again proves he is off his rocker. HOWEVER, true to form, Obama always blames someone for his failings. Considering who Adam blamed, just how long will it take for Obama to toss Michelle under the bus? Start a countdown when he fails the election. Having used the Clintons as mentors, do the Obamas have what it really takes to stick together even in hell?

maverick muse on July 24, 2008 at 9:30 AM

“It was rowdier than the last time I was there, you know?” Obama told reporters on the plane. “I mean, people were sort of, like, holerin’. You know I was expecting more reverence.”

Holerin’? Why don’t you just ask if you can get you a huntin’ license while you’re at it, dou^he’.

Yeah it’s really weird and insulting. He really is being pushed as some sort of religious figure and it now looks like he is gathering followers worldwide. I really think that he thinks that he is running for something much bigger than president of the USA. Maybe he will unite the world under the banner of BO. Will it be for the better? I doubt it very much and it kind of makes me think the myths of the anti-Christ aren’t as much myth as I would like.
