Next to that kind of arrogance, Brandenburg Gate has as much significance as Coney Island as a venue for a speech.

If someone hasn’t said it already, here’s where you’re missing it. The Brandenburg Gate issue is symptomatic of Obama’s arrogance–just as much as the faux presidential seal was–and it is, therefore, highly significant as an indicator of the way O thinks of himself. JFK spoke there, Reagan spoke there, so, of course, the great O should speak there. People won’t remember that Berlin is no longer two cities or that Germany is no longer two countries. What they’d remember is that O spoke there just like the Great Ones….and that was what he was counting on.

I’m going to assume that BO is going to address his Euro adoring audiences in their native language??? Moron!

I can’t wait to hear the media accompanying him note that he cannot speak the languages of Europe, and contrast that with his speech about our need to teach kids Spanish.

Had Obama given a speech there, it would have highlighted how mundane Brandenburg Gate has become — and it would have reminded people of why it got that way, and who made it so. Obama would have been overshadowed by the history, not glorified by it.

Gonna have to disagreee, here, Cap’n…yeah. If The Lightworker gave a speech at the B-Gate, the press on both sides of the Atlantic would play it up as the biggest and most Lightworker-ish moment in modern history.

Do you really think that any network anchor or CNN-ABC-CBS-NBC-BBC-AFP-Der Speigel editor would even MENTION the name of Ronaldus Magnus in connection with The Obama’s speech there??? No effing way. Not ever.

Can you picture Katie Couric or Wolf Blitzer or Mr. Thrill-up-the Leg giving props to Reagan along the lines of: “Hey Obama gave a great speech at the Gate today, but let’s remember how Ronald Reagan worked his ass off for 8 years to bring down the Berlin Wall, and how if Reagan had not shown balls as big as church bells, the Wall might still be up. “ Yeah, me neither.

More likley, the press accompanying The Secular Messiah would be grateful that there was a new Sheriff of Brandenburg, grateful because the press would never again have to mention RR or credit him with anything.
