That is ridiculous. The fastest growing group in this country is Independents and if they heard McCain call Obama a socialist they would just think it was demagoguery. I think Obama is way to far to the left, but hell about half the people in the country seem willing to consider voting for him and most of them probably do not consider the man a socialist.

The term has been used so much for so many people that it has lost some of its meaning. Kind of like liberal, it just does not have the same effect it used to.

For you, lying about McCain and slandering him is just like breathing.

As a fellow military man, I appreciate his great sacrifice and heroism, but he’s still unfit for political service, and should’ve been drummed out, decades ago.

I know he wants to play nice to appeal to independents, but I think many people are intimidated into voting for Barry, yet are looking for a good reason to just take a reasonable stand and vote against him.

The real problem is the Democrat Party should be labeled Social-Democrat for its continuing run to the Left side of the Political spectrum.

They are apparently living in a parallel universe in which the founders of this country, the framers of our Constitution, were not in fact rugged individualists who were terrified of an overly-powerful central government and put every protection in place that they could possibly think of to prevent what these socialist goons want to bring about — a people completely reliant on an all-powerful central government. SOCIALISM IS AS ANTI-AMERICAN AS YOU CAN GET! That’s why most of us regard it as a “scary word,” you leftist freaks! They are a scary, scary bunch over there at HuffPo. Seriously.

There have been many conservative voices to describe what you said. (and thanks, by the way for going there and spending the time reading what these people actually think, I’d rather not go to that site and give them a ‘click’ from my visit that adds to their revenue.)

Rush has always talked about the founding fathers and the rugged individualism,(so your comments are familiar) and if I recall correctly, Rush might have mentioned that it’s the left leaning education system, the people who write textbooks, the educators that are far more liberal than conservative who have contributed to the appalling state of our nation’s consciousness when it comes to the truth about our country;s founding, and what socialism is actually about. In some school systems, you have teachers explaining that the founding fathers were ‘rich white people’ who destroyed as they conquered. This is all their interpretation through their ideologies and how they want the students to think.

As well as after they leave our education system, they are exposed to and seek out liberal news opinion, media, entertainment and many people before have commented on the different examples such as the daily show, etc.

Besides this kind of indoctrination, people like Michael Savage calls liberalism a mental disorder. How else can you explain the lengths and depths that so many liberals descend while trashing this country and – as you say – it’s like they are living in a parallel universe where up is down, good is bad.

They are indeed, scary. And they are something like 30 to 50 percent of the country.

I just spent a half hour on the cell with my best friend. He is a pilot for one of the 9/11 airlines. Full on moonbat(I hate to say). Unions, collective action, speculator intoxication. Intoxication….that is the only way to describe it. I try, and try, to explain to him what happens when a drunk driver gets behind the wheel. ‘You’re programmed’ is the response. There is nuth’n, nuth’n that will get the wax out of his ears.

No. The country is comprised of republicans, democrats, independents and ‘undecided.’

It’s these undecided people that sometimes decide elections, after the republicans have voted for their candidate, and the democrats have voted for theirs.

He reached out to republicans already. And the republican primary voters who cast the most votes for him in the primaries and he is now going to be our candidates.

You want him to be a very strong conservative. So do I. But the reality is that he ran as a moderate conservative and he won.

It’s now time to pick one of two candidates. And either Obama or McCain will be the next president.

For Gods sakes McCain, show some backbone.

As I said earlier, McCain is running for president of the united states. Not the president of the conservatives of hotair. In addition to us, there is an entire country out there that would turn him off when they heard that McCain called Obama a socialist. And then Obama could use this to make the case that McCain is attacking him.
