Woman with 14% approval rating: Bush is a total failure

This is big news, apparently, although I haven’t the slightest idea why. Rhetorically it’s par for the course among the Democratic leadership; by the base’s standards, it’s downright polite. We’ve already reached the point, remember, of House Democrats “joking” openly at public hearings about Al Qaeda killing Bush administration officials. Be happy that she stopped short of wishing him death. Or is the objection that what she said was inaccurate? Per his approval rating (and the fact that the GOP wants to get his appearance at the convention out of the way on the first night), most of the country agrees that he’s a failure. Chalk the hyperbole in the word “total” up to irritation at the fact that his ratings, miserable though they are, are still twice as high as hers and of course to the sort of mindless Democratic partisan exaggeration that leads morons like Harry Reid to insist as recently as a month ago that Iraq was trapped in an “intractable civil war.”

Click the image to watch. Or better yet, skip it and follow this link for video of this loser trying and totally failing to explain to Wolf Blitzer why we can’t drill offshore in protected areas even though 73% of the public wants it and the oil companies say it represents a more robust opportunity than dry-land drilling. Single digits, here she comes!

Well, now we know where they put the extra fat from her last face lift.

Deep in the shallow cranium.

Another excellent reason for term limits.

Anyone that can’t see her for the dolt she is is an absolute fool. I could barely even follow what the f*** she said.

Well…if I had a nickel…but…I am totally serious. Where am I wrong?

ronsfi on July 17, 2008 at 9:43 PM

I suspect, based on the Timothy passage, that part of your objection is religiously based. You may be aware of Priscilla and Aquila, and couple who ministered with Paul. In Acts 18:26, it is recorded that both Priscilla and Aquila taught Apollos, who later served as pastor in Corinth. You could say that Priscilla taught the lead teacher of this thriving early church. I know I probably won’t convince you to change your mind, but there it is.

As to Jefferson, he was a brilliant man but a flawed one. The slavery issue is enough to convince me that maybe not everything he wrote and practiced is a useful model for today.

God knows women aren’t perfect. But, as a Christian, I remember reading a few times that Jesus gave women much more respect and autonomy than was the cultural norm in his time.

Have a blessed day.

(and the fact that the GOP wants to get his appearance at the convention out of the way on the first night)

If they wanted to downplay Bush why put him on opening night?

Dollayo on July 18, 2008 at 3:55 AM

She wants them to drill where there is NO OIL—Hello??—the “protected areas” are the oil fields. She needs to be asked “which of these discovered huge offshore oil fields will you open up to drilling lady??

Dollayo on July 18, 2008 at 4:05 AM

It’s like watching the talking dead…crypt-keeper go home.

Ya know, I always thought I’d hit it just for the hell of it…but forget it.

If one were to look in the dictionary under the phrase “Unclear On The Concept”, this goof would have picture next to the definition.

That this completely worthless, idiotic, corrupt and utterly incompetent old battleax has the gall to call anyone a failure.

Her Congressional seat was purchased by her husband, all of her positions are dictated to her by Democrat Party fundraisers, she’s sold out her country countless times and sold out her church.

The best thing jackass Pelosi can do for this country is to resign and then emigrate. What a total a-hole this woman is.

Actualy, I’m a devout Atheist.

ronsfi on July 18, 2008 at 9:01 AM

I really don’t know much about Nancy Pelosi is as a person or what makes her tick, but it does look more and more as if she just follows some set pattern that has worked in her past. She seems incapable of thoughtful change or analysis of and adaptation to new circumstances.

jeanie on July 18, 2008 at 9:16 AM

Hold on!,Hold on!,Hold on!

Who was it that was flexing her biceps after they took
control of congress in 06.

“We got the power”,”the most powerful women in the US”,and
so on and so on.

Now when Mrs. ineptness and her super intelligent cohorts in the 9% club they call the democratic Congress get called out she uses the only card the democrats have used for 5 years.

“It’s Bush’s fault”.

If they get the White House and veto proof majorities in the Senate, they will face a growing energy crises, bank failures due to risky lending practices,Iran going Nuclear(with possible Israeli strikes),Pakistan having to be confronted due to not controlling the Taliban/Al-qaeda,not losing the war we have won in Iraq, and getting Afghanistan
on the right track.

“It’s Bush’s fault” will get them maybe 6 more months in 09
but after that, they are going to actually have to come up with solutions.

This political hack and her activists friends in Congress have done nothing but push scandal and obstruction, they have
no answers.

liberals got taken in 06 with promises of ending the war and impeaching Bush, now they want to hoodwink the nation with Obama, the blank screen that has no consistent position on anything and has shown no leadership on anything except his political aspirations.

If freeing 50 million people from terrorist regimes(rallying Arabs to fight side by side with the west in kicking al-qaeda’s/Sadr’s butt) ,taking down Libya’s WMD/Nuclear program,N. Korea’s Nuclear program, longest period of un-interrupted growth in the economy, cutting taxes, more humanitarian assistance in Africa than any preceding President is considered “failure”,then the bar is
set incredibly high for the next in line.

Baxter Greene on July 18, 2008 at 9:23 AM

My opinion of Pelosi is sort of nuanced. How can I express this to really get this layered, complex perception across?…well, pretty much, I hate that b*tch.

danking70 on July 18, 2008 at 9:57 AM

Which number aren’t you buying, the 73% or the 86%?

Jaibones on July 18, 2008 at 12:25 AM

Thinking of the half that votes Democrat.

But that 86% includes, I’m sure, lots of folks who are mad at the Republicans for being obstructionists. And it’s not her personal approval rating, which I’d be willing to bet is sky-high in her district.

And I have questions for the 73%. I wonder about the logic of all the newly converted. What is it about $4 gas that makes drilling in pristine wildernesses OK? If drilling is eeevil and polluting and ruins da Earf at $1.40 a gallon, it’s the same at $4 a gallon.

I’m a little down on the American public lately.

misterpeasea on July 18, 2008 at 11:08 AM

What is no longer in that clip is the fact that ol San Fran Nan gives a slap to Harry Reid, implying he’s not gettin’ it done…

PatriotPete on July 18, 2008 at 11:13 AM

I refuse to watch anything with her when her mouth is moving. This broad has BIG GONADS to criticize a president with low ratings when, most of the time thats what happens anyway, however dosen’t acknowledge her own rating suck like a hoover.

Shut up lady. Or better yet keep talking, Like Obama, it will only help you get booted from your throne.

tx2654 on July 18, 2008 at 12:46 PM

I just sent the illustrious speaker this little email….

Excuse me Madam Speaker,

May I call your attention to the price of a gallon of gasoline BEFORE you took over Congress, and the price of gasoline SINCE you’ve taken over Congress? Need I say more? In the short time you’ve been in charge gasoline has more then doubled in price! Is there something wrong with this picture?

Vntnrse on July 18, 2008 at 2:09 PM

She does not care what you think. Your facts are irrelevant in the scope of her majestic vision for the future of her (not your or our) great nation. There is something wrong with you. People like you will be ‘handled’ when the Peoples Re-education Camps are opened.

First of all, just because a bunch of socialists all gather together in one place, say San Francisco for instance, doesn’t meant that socialism will work or that they’re right.

Secondly, drilling for oil is not bad. It’s a good thing. Using the technology and resources that we have at our disposal simply makes sense. I’m for building refineries, nuclear power plants and drilling no matter what the price of gas is as long as it is economically feasible to do as such. The market will naturally dictate when it is economically feasible. Congress simply needs to get out of the way of the economy and industry.

Thirdly, it’s spelled “the Earth”.

Theophile on July 18, 2008 at 2:40 PM

I can’t stand the sight of this idiot. We need term limits to save us from such suffering.

Okay, I guess the reference to Timothy threw me there.

Interesting. An atheist who believes women’s suffrage is a bad idea? I don’t think I’ve seen that one before.

Have a good day.

Woman with 14% approval rating: Bush is a total failure

I wonder what nit-wit Pelosi has for a brain???

byteshredder on July 18, 2008 at 4:52 PM

I think Nancy Pelosi and other idiot liberals were created out of those chemistry sets we once played with as kids. In their mix, somebody left out a few important chemicals — those that help the brain function.
