McCain is the beneficiary of a law he wrote himself?

McCain Feingold put public funding into place, and he is DIRECTLY reaping the benefits of that law. I’m not sure that he could afford to run without it… especialy with how he is pandering to everyone, but his party base.

I don’t know why, but MM–as well as Rush–are often brilliant, yet they get desperate & petty & illogical & contradictory when bashing McCain.

What is less well known about the DREAM Act is that it also allows illegal aliens to receive in-state tuition rates at public universities, discriminating against U.S. citizens from out of state and law-abiding foreign students. It repeals a 1996 federal law that pro­hibits any state from offering in-state tuition rates to illegal aliens unless the state also offers in-state tuition rates to all U.S. citizens.

You know, it’s things like this that make me want to make threats to public officials. At least the Democrats are looking after their own interests. But what in the world are any Republicans doing on this list?

I would as well. Saying that he’s better than Obama on issue X is really getting old. Voting against Bush was a loser strategy in ’04. Voting against Obama will likely be the same.

Anyone who believes otherwise is overly optimistic.

That would put the total number of illegals here in the 40+ million range…

The reasons for distrust of McCain and lack of support from conservatives is a often-posted list that includes McCain’s abridgement of the Constitution’s First Amendment, his blatant attempt at amnesty without legitimate border security measures, his inclination to support Democrat initiatives before showing party loyalty, etc….

My question is this. Why are all the McCain moonbats so rabid in their attack of those who post these legitimate concerns instead of ever defending the man with anything more than “he’s better than Obama.” I’d feel a whole lot more comfortable with McCain as President if somebody on the GOP side came up with a legitimate set of reasons to vote FOR McCain. As it is, McCain continues to put out the same old lies and his backers call anything but unquestioning support of a lackluster candidate as MDS.

You enforce hiring laws, there will likely not be as many to justify “Mass” Deportation.

That all united should fail to enlighten any competent inquirer in this matter is almost inconceivable.

Oops. Sorry. It was an error of omission, Squish. You are indeed a McCain shill. But my impression is that you aren’t quite as obnoxious, you don’t make quite as many straw-man arguments, you don’t call quite as many names, and you even occasionally use logic.

You take more of the “oh, come on, you bloodthirsty extremists, can’t we be mature and reasonable about this” angle. Like Jet, but he can’t refrain from snarking about how of COURSE we really secretly want mass deportation.
