Reporter to Bush: Why don’t you formally inform our moron public that they should use less gas?

If we can’t be trusted to glean satirical intent from an over-the-top New Yorker cover, how can we be trusted to buy less of something when the price goes up? It’s Daddy President 101, with the added nuance of the media demanding a catalyzing call for action from a guy with an approval rating south of 30 whom they assure us no one in their right mind takes seriously. If he had issued some sort of formal statement inspiring the predictable semi-snarky headlines (“Bush: Conserving Energy Is a Good Thing”), the nutroots would have goofed on him for his chimplike mastery of the obvious and Slate’s ultra-keen “Bushisms” feature could have knocked off early. But look on the bright side. Next year, we’ll be treated to headlines like, “Obama: Turn Off the Light When You Leave a Room.”

Presidents need to tell us what to do. I’ve been wearing a sweater ever since Carter told me to pull one on and turn down the heat. With global warming instead of cooling now, I hope he tells me I can take it off soon, you know, like before he dies.

if liberals were a fish they would have to be the schooling type which ate nothing more dangerous than algi.

the bad part is they are so uncomfortable being a servant around the free, they will try to homogonise all to this pathetic state.

no insult to the guppy or minnow, if their brains were as big as ours I would expect more….

liberals want to turn people into cattle.

Where was it? france? I cant remember but some socialist bastions courts gave equal rights to chimps, apes, etc.

I thought it funny, because Im sure the supporters didnt realise that you can accomplish that by taking away their rights.

just a thought

The more Rywall reveals, the more his comments prove to be irrelevant. He is like any of the other envirobots. He talks smack, but in the end, his arguments and rhetoric are rightly marginalized by people who see through the bull.

He and his kind bought into the whole environmentalism scam and have fully invested themselves in it. Naive and gullible. They are the perfect target of Gore and his money making enviro-friendly machine.

I say let them dream their fantasy. Let them buy carbon offsets. Let them continue to “conserve” until they are reading by candlelight and shivering in the dark. That’ll leave more energy for the rest of us to enjoy.

A fitting reward for their naivety.
