Chrissy Pissy Matthews = Genuine Moron

byteshredder on July 15, 2008 at 10:59 PM

“The American people haven’t been asked the right question.”

That’s right. The proper question isn’t “has the surge worked?” The proper question to ask the American people is, “doesn’t Obama give you as much of a thrill up your leg as he gives me?”

Outlander on July 15, 2008 at 11:01 PM

And what it the right question Matthews?
Like others in the MSM, shills for Obama, any success in Iraq is summarily dismissed.

Kini on July 15, 2008 at 11:01 PM

I suspect the “right question” Matthews is thinking of is along the lines of “When did you stop beating your wife?”

flipflop on July 15, 2008 at 11:09 PM

Oh man,the American people haven’t been asked
the right question!

Chris,yourrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr killin me,the

The right question, ummmm,I know its election season, and
everything, and anything should be looked at,and thru the
Liberal prism, but Chris I can’t take it no more, just declare
you have officially joined the Hope and Change Campaign!

canopfor on July 15, 2008 at 11:09 PM

Yes, come on my show so I can insult your integrity!

Suprised he still has any guests at all…. but then again, Jerry Springer lasted quite awhile…

Romeo13 on July 15, 2008 at 11:09 PM

The right question?

How many faces does Obama have?

How many legs does Chris Matthews?

profitsbeard on July 15, 2008 at 11:10 PM

It’s killing them that we are winning. Their own egos are so tied up in our defeat they can’t bring themselves to face it. That, coupled with seeing the Messiah fall from grace, and the election slipping away, is all too much for them to deal with.

TheBigOldDog on July 15, 2008 at 11:10 PM

Romeo13 on July 15, 2008 at 11:09 PM

That’s because most of his guests were faking it to get their 15 minutes of fame and Springer himself probably didn’t give a damn as long as he kept his ratings. This idiot’s actually serious.

How about the question “Do you believe Chris Matthews is unbiased, insightful, and fair-minded?”

Now if you get the results for “No”, and apply it to the question of whether the surge is working, maybe HamHocks the Wonder Moron will be happy, and he can quit outright denying what even the New York Times has admitted has occurred.

MadisonConservative on July 15, 2008 at 11:27 PM

The right question: Will the US be better off when it loses a war under obama. Will you feel safer?

Matthews is a typical whining sniveling effete limo liberal.

Pathetic.

Hickory Dickory Dock, Chris ran up the clock. The clock struck one,
Chris had a thrill run down his leg! … Hickory Dickory Dock

That’s just keeping it clean… ;-)

You can hear it in Matthews voice, he hates the fact we’re winning. So he’ll snark on Buchanan all the while Obama pirouettes on all the issues.

Matthews and Olbermann represent the views of many mindless, emotional, nitwit liberals around the country. They are emboldened and this is a key issue for them

William Amos on July 15, 2008 at 11:35 PM

Matthews has repeatedly used the “it’s their country” argument when discussing the insurgent attacks on our troops and the Iraqi security forces.

Somehow he’s convinced himself that Al-Qaeda or the Sunnis Baathist remnants or the radical Shi’a elements are nationalist forces fighting for the Iraqi people.

No, Mr. Matthews, they’re fighting to take control of the country and establish a sectarian state that oppresses and control those not of that sect. Nationalism has nothing to do with it.

They’re wearing turbans, not black pajamas.

SteveMG on July 15, 2008 at 11:36 PM

lol. Matthews doesn’t even try to defend himself when he’s accused of being in the tank for Obama.

bigbeas on July 15, 2008 at 11:36 PM

I think the right question for Buchanan was, “Say, Pat, what time’s the Nazi rally?”

Please. I can’t believe they’re still bringing him on news shows as an analyst after the book, the appearance on neo-Nazi radio, and today’s column, where he calls American Jews “Fifth columnists”.

flipflop on July 15, 2008 at 11:09 PM

Actually, the quote is, “have you stopped beating your wife?”

You know, the whole point is that a yes or no question is asked, which can’t be adequately answered with only a “yes” or “no”.

But anyway, Spitty matthews is so damn hard to take…that parting shot at Pat was totally uncalled for and completely unprofessional.

surrounded on July 15, 2008 at 11:38 PM

That last statement by Matthews was one of the worst insults I think I have heard in a long time. Pat Buchanan should demand an apology.

Glynn on July 15, 2008 at 11:39 PM

Chrissy is a bit behind the times. The messiah is already pretending he never said the surge wouldn’t work. You would think he would know this after reading is weekly subscription of Thrill and Leg magazine.

NotCoach on July 15, 2008 at 11:40 PM

PAT BUCHANAN The American people believe the surge has worked, it is working.

MATTHEWS [shouting]: No it hasn’t! The American people haven’t been asked the right question. – Pat. You have said in the past the reason to stick the army in there with greater strength a year or two ago was to get the Iraqis to solve their own fish. To put it together themselves politically so that we could come home. By that definition, have we won?

Wha? Fish?

It doesn’t matter what Pat may have said about ‘fish.’ The statement is that the surge has worked. First militarially, the violence was reduced. And now politically:

Iraq has met all but three of 18 original benchmarks set by Congress last year to measure security, political and economic progress, according to a report by the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad. – Wednesday, July 2, 2008; Page A08

And by Chrissy’s bizarre definitions now, and to come in the next years, we will never be able to win. (in his mind) As long as there is a republican in the whitehouse, that is.

A successful Iraq, this country being at peace just as Germany is, just as Japan is, Just as South Korea is … is the democrat’s worst fear. As McCain stated:

Last month, at a town hall meeting in New Hampshire, a crowd member asked McCain about a Bush statement that troops could stay in Iraq for 50 years.

“Maybe 100,” McCain replied. “As long as Americans are not being injured or harmed or wounded or killed, it’s fine with me and I hope it would be fine with you if we maintain a presence in a very volatile part of the world where al Qaeda is training, recruiting, equipping and motivating people every single day.”

Also, bringing democracy to the middle east could have the same ripple effect like that of Japan, Europe and South Korea.
Prosperity and freedom.

Kini on July 15, 2008 at 11:51 PM

Matthews is lower than hammered whale $hit. Not only did he consistently talk and never let his question end so that Buchanan could answer (a very common tactic when you don’t have a point to make), he then tabled the issue and asked Buchanan a question framed specifically to force Buchanan to look bad no matter what he said.

Why can’t Matthews accept the fact that the surge is not working. Why can’t he read the facts and present them, instead of whining like a little child that refuses to accept the truth?

The right question: “Why does Chris Matthews still have a job as a ‘reporter’?”

But you’d need an army of mental health experts on your show to try and answer that one.

Matthews is a disgusting pile of garbage. Rather than admit we are winning a war, he’d rather continue propagating news from 4 years ago and make it sound like we are in a downward spiral in Iraq for the sole purpose of getting his guy in office.
If Obama can’t lose out on that point and still make it into office, he has no business serving as POTUS.

There, Chris! Is that the right question we should be asking?

pilamaye on July 16, 2008 at 8:09 AM

There are exactly four opinions on Iraq(five if you count the indifferent people).

1. We should have gone in, and we should have stayed.
2. We should have gone in, and we should not have stayed.
3. We shouldn’t have gone in, but once there we must stay.
4. We shouldn’t be there for any length of time.

Pat sounds like #3.

To me, Chris Mathews is a complete pseudo intellectual, that he is in reality a complete dumb ass.

The really bad news it that about 1/3 of the American electorate is in the same boat, and 1/3 are intellectualy disengaged . That is what is really scary because it usually takes a really drastic wakeup call for those pseudo intellectuals and the brain dead sheep to jerk their heads out of their a$$s.
