The political chitchat at my atheist drum circle sounds exactly like this. In fact, if I’m not mistaken, “Citizens for a Bleaker America” is our PAC.
We’re currently leaning towards Obama, mainly because he’s slightly more likely to flip-flop in our direction if he needs the votes. And also because of the kicking-a-child-in-the-face thing, of course.

McCain’s mastered the flip-flop. I suggest you start leaning the other way.

Obama likes to kill babies with partial birth abortion.
Chakra Hammer on July 14, 2008 at 9:01 PM
Wow, a whole thing about evil candidates without mentioning Bush? Is The Onion trying to be objective?

“Together we can change America in unspeakable ways.” Isn’t that Obama’s slogan now?

Crawler: San Diego art museum sets sail for Persian Gulf via decommissioned aircraft carrier.
That’s funny!

I like that Obama stil snokes, it makes me feel good to think that his lungs are as black as his soul.

Really, we should stop suffrage. /heh
brak on July 14, 2008 at 9:34 PM
heh…
Actually, this sounds a lot like the McCain-derangement re: “amnesty” I’ve seen running rampant around here for soooo long now. Just replace “no values” with “amnesty”, and there ya go!
JetBoy on July 14, 2008 at 9:57 PM
Lol.. Welcome back, Mr. Kotter.
silverfox on July 14, 2008 at 9:59 PM

I’m confused. Were those Democrat talking points or was that satire?
Mojave Mark on July 14, 2008 at 10:53 PM
I love the Onion. That was a funny story.
HawaiiLwyr on July 14, 2008 at 11:06 PM
That was so much better than MSNBC. What cable channel is it on?
platypus on July 14, 2008 at 11:10 PM
Leave generalizations to the Dems/Liberals, folks.
This atheist/agnostic has strong values and will vote for McCain – although I would have preferred Romney or Tancredo.
Values can be instilled or developed by means other than religion.
greenLibertarian on July 15, 2008 at 3:38 AM
Uh…

The Onion gets better and better every day.
Welcome back, AP. Did you get your iPhone 3G activated yet?
darkpixel on July 15, 2008 at 7:31 AM
Wow, I didn’t know atheists had a movement, let alone a platform…
right2bright on July 15, 2008 at 8:18 AM
Someone didn’t get the joke.
You’re becoming a satire of yourself.
Esthier on July 15, 2008 at 10:42 AM
Ever heard of Richard Dawkins or Christopher Hitchens? Or are you just being facetious? I’m guessing the latter.
