The BIG push was to defeat Hillary! Now all they hear is ‘contribute to retire Hillary’s! campaign fund’. That ain’t gonna happen. And because it ain’t gonna happen, the Clintons are going to be ‘busy’ somewhere else while the Obamassiah is shaking the trees for votes. Obama has also done some major flips that haven’t endeared him to the masses. He will come to reject public funding as his contributions continue to drop. People have other worries right now making ends meet. Like it or not, the ‘little people’ view political contributions as part of discretionary income. And they don’t have much of that left what with rising fuel and food costs.

Hillary has over spent 20,000,000 dollars and Obama’s money bag is begging for more money. They’ve tried the race card and that blew up in their face. Now it’s the class envy attack. If it wasn’t for hate the dims would not have any chance at all. “The Republicans will air three times the ads that are untrue.” Is there anybody on the face of the earth really that stupid? Last count 44% of the voters. OH!

Now he’s in, there’s no need to contribute more. Better now to contribute to McCain.

If you think Obama’s fundraising is gone for good instead of in a momentary lull, explain why.

Because it wasn’t a miracle. It was a freak occurrence.

Anything can only be new once. Obama got all his money back when his mindless minions actually believed the nonsense he was spouting. His shift of positions therefore was a double hit on his fund-raising machine.

Not only did the ‘roots decide to put their wallets away, but so did the hopers.

No there’s no getting it back for him either. You might as well wait for the revival of disco.

Some of us, um, were pointing out that this would happen to this “shrewd politician” a long, long time ago.

Well, the Obamunist raised $1.2 million yesterday in LA...

Obama spent about 45 minutes at a $28,500 per person VIP reception, then spoke at a general reception, which cost $2,300 to attend. Both events were held at the Balboa Bay Club. The ticket prices matched the maximum allowable contributions to national party committees and candidates.

Emphasis mine. This was in Newport Beach which is considered a "Republican stronghold" by the media. Or at least that's what they called it last night.

BO last week agree with Bush to have FISA. That one vote will cost BO A LOT OF MONEY. His monthly will never be higher then $35 million because of that one vote. You do not allow the president to listen into people’s phone calls if you are a democrat. The crazy base might still vote for BO but they will not give money.

I would postulate the following:

1. A lot of people who gave to Obama during the primaries consider themselves to have already donated.

2. The Dem primaries were quite exciting, with elections happening nearly every week. The next election won’t be for 4 months, and so the excitement level is going to be much lower. Things will certainly pick up for Obama closer to the election, but he’s got to sustain strong fund raising over the summer to make up for bailing out of the public system.

3. McCain’s been laying low – his attacks on Obama have been pretty tame – and there are no 527s really active. This means the outrage-of-the-week fund raising letter from the Obama campaign is going to be pretty weak.
