FYI, it not just the personnel that would be moved. There are hundreds of millions of Tax Payer Purchased Equipment and Support Personnel that outnumber the Combat Brigades at a ratio of 3 to 1.

Obama quite frankly is way over his head and not qualified to make any decisions regarding anything military!

Obama, as usual, does know anything about what he is talking about and has surrounded humself with fools for advisors. Retired General Officers that honestly have been out of the loop on the current situation.

He is dangerous in the Senate and would be a disaster as CIC. Iraq is not Chicago and they don’t want their Community Organized by an ignorant bastard like him!

Are you totally stupid? What is Gen. Petraeus going to do? Open up his cape, grab all the equipment and spirit it back to America? Of COURSE troops will have to stay there to bring equipment home. It’s refreshing to see the MSM reporting the actualities of logistics on the ground, but to see them question, in the end, “well, what about what Gen. Petraeus decides?” is absolute pablum.

The troops on the ground have it right, and Obama and all the defeatocrats have it WRONG!

ABC News spoke to the commanders and their officer corps in Iraq and got some input first, and discovered two points Obama hasn’t taken into consideration. Not only do they not want to leave, but if they do, they’d like to take their equipment with them:

We can rotate troops out of Iraq on the kind of timetable Obama suggests, but we’d have to leave all of our heavy equipment in Iraq.

So the whole officer corp in Iraq, when speaking freely, does not want to leave? That doesn't even pass the most elementary smell test. Leave all of our heavy equipment in Iraq? With 16 months to withdraw, and that would probably slip some, and that 16 months not even starting until January of 2009 and probably not until at least a couple of months after that? Somebody needs to talk to someone who actually participated in a withdrawal.

Obama in 2011: I promised to withdraw the troops within 16 months. There have been delays because my predecessor underfunded transport ships.
