Apparently this is nothing new.  The Iranians Photoshopped the recent missile firings to try and hide that fact that one of them was a dud?
LGF had to write a memo to FOX news letting them know that the NYT’s DID NOT brea…

The reason I say to not discount the Iranian threat is because these missile tests were aimed more at local forces in the gulf region. Those missiles in the famous photo appear to be fateh-110s, these are guided solid fuel missiles with pretty decent accuracy and maybe around a 200km range. They would pose some threat to us troops, perhaps less so to protected fleets, they would pose a dcent threat to surrounding arab countries especially in larger numbers.

The big shahab3 was also launched apparently a single missile from reports until now, that one could in theory reach Israel in its most advanced form, but this launch looked like the older variant, similar to an advanced scud-c/d. Pls keep in mind scuds did unfortunately kill US forces in barracks hits during gulf war I, and 39 of them hit tel aviv then as well, they can bring down a small apartment building.

It’s not that mysterious if you slog through the various blogs and comments to find out what happened. Charles had some valid points, but used some extremely dubious sources and guilt-by-association lines of attack. They threw around the terms Nazi and fascist as if we’d lost WWII and Belgium was still occupied. When engaged point by point he’d link to a leftist source, ignore it, or ask the ‘lizards’ what to do which was always ignore the arguments. He’d abandon lines of attack when it was obvious he didn’t have the facts, but he’d never note it. Like the Swedish Democrats and Nazi girl as I called her. That apparently didn’t pan out, trying to smear an entire party with one photo of a weird girl wearing a swastika standing in a field.

When his sources and ‘minions’ (his term) accused Bat Ye’or of being a fascist and started turning on Robert Spencer I figured I didn’t belong there any more. That and being called a whole bunch of four-letter words for noticing the fact the solar cross/early christian cross is probably the most common symbol in our civilization and that it’s not really much evidence of Nazism or fascism — standing alone.

Of course the Klan does use a version of it including a blood drop. The so-called Odin’s Cross is used by racists. Just to be clear on this stuff, as both sides have been full of it many times. It’s also true that Jesus was never depicted without it behind his head for over a thousand years. And that’s just scratching the surface of how many times it’s used.

There’s no doubt VB has some questionable people, history of collaboration (like half of France and so on), and associations with some American racists, among others. Ham-handedly attacking them in a way which splashes all over the entire anti-jihad movement and ignoring the real fascists (EU, UN, OIC, etc.) — with power to implement it — who are attacking free speech and trying to impose sharia every day is just idiotic. ‘Anti-idiotarian’ my butt.

I was familiar with Vlaams Blok as a party made into non-persons and forced to disappear and reform, all in the name of ‘anti-racism’ one new real face of authoritarianism and thought crime police. In America that’s what we call unconstitutional under the First Amendment, for now. You can speak and associate freely. But LGF seemed to ignore that entire aspect of this now blog war, that VB was constantly being attacked in, well, fascist ways up to and including ball-crushing police holds for assembling at the SIOE rally.

There go my posting privileges over there no doubt. Sorry for the length, but it’s become epic.

We have to consider that Iranian missile expertise approaches that of the Germans in early 1943, or the Russians and Americans in the late ’50s. The Germans could point V-1s and V-2s in the general direction of a city and maybe hit something worthwhile. The Russians were much the same with their WWII Katyusha multiple-launcher-systems. Shoot a shotgun at the enemy, and you might get lucky.

The Russians never made their most egregious failures public. The US, OTOH, had newsmen all over the place, and even Bob Hope ran a monologue or three on our ineptitude. IIRC, it was more than a year before we dared to put a live pilot on top of that Roman candle.

They are not necessarily stupid, and they have advantages (a head start in technology) that we didn’t.

Be prepared to watch them get better at this.

If, of course, we don’t take them out first.

Well, there’s no fire quite like friendly fire.

Personally, I think BOTH sides in that little fracas overreacted, but Charles had a really good point about VB and BNP’s “associations.” Then it spun out of control and a lot of perfect allies mysteriously started hating each other.

It’s SO MUCH FUN, since Charles and Pamela were a couple of my favorites.

A credible threat to vaporize a few “holy” cities might just prevent it from happening.
I’ m not channeling to Thomas Jefferson….but I believe he would make such a declaration .
