I don’t like reading stuff written by bloggers who say they’re wavering between the two candidates. It reminds me too much of Sully, circa spring 2004.
I no longer have any idea where the Illinois Senator stands on gun control, abortion, public financing, FISA, NAFTA, when and how to withdraw from Iraq or the debate structure for the campaign.
When did anyone know? Naive!
I must concede that Obama has launched a general election bid which seems to show him as something less than originally advertised. The bloom is off the rose, and Obama is showing me that, sadly, he really is “just another politician”
It is naive to have believed otherwise. It’s all fluff.
Historically, the berated Rev. Right will have it most right “Obama will say and do anything to get elected”. That’s the only reason he ended up under the bus.
Of course they are fools. The really important people to Obama right now are Hillary’s donors, and they are not left-wing BDS sufferers. They want to see Obama acting like a grownup who understands the world as it is, and to hell with all the pie-in-the-sky hope-and-change crap. He is coming around to their point of view because he needs the money. The Internet gusher has run dry and his true-believer primary supporters don’t have the big bucks.
I hate being right all the time. Wouldn’t it have been great to be so totally wrong about O’Carma?
And this JazzShaw – can anyone who is questionning Obambi now seriously say that he doesn’t trust McCain on Supreme Court justices? Doesn’t trust him to do what?!
My tally of BO’s “refining” of his positions:
1) welfare reform
2) gun ban
3) death penalty
4) NAFTA
5) Cuba embargo
6) campaign spending limits/matching funds
7) FISA
8) Iraq withdrawal deadline
9) flag lapel pin
10) undivided Jerusalem capital of Israel
11) chat w/ Ack-my-dumb-jihad
12) disowning Rev Wright
13) Trinity membership
14) mental health exception for partial birth abortions
15) laws protecting abortion survivors
16) town-hall style debates w/ McCain
17) negative campaigning
Did I miss any?
Anyone who once believed ( or still believes) BarryO is not a typical poilitian needs to have their sanity checked. I don’t care if he or she claims to have been liberated from the shackles of Obama.
Obama has never refined his policy positions…ever! He’s only refined his speeches about policy. His positions remain unchanged. He’s for strict gun control, read repeal the second amendment, he wants FISA overturned, He’s for abortion on demand for any reason, he wants to do away with NAFTA, he wants to surrender in Iraq (even if we’ve already won)and he’s definitely for the fairness doctrine, he wants to raise taxes, increase entitlements, legitimize illegal immigration..and pretty much anything else that will destroy the country. Did I miss anything?
Well,ya if you refine your crude oil,
to get high octane, then that would
make your Chevy 572ci(rat)Big Block
engine sing a mean tune as the rubber
is a burning down the street!
Oh ya,back to the Obama,I would suggest,
something slower,so as not to get dizzy
on Obama’s(slight change on his positions)
or his ongoing flippy der floppys!
When you have no core values and no clue as to how this country works, flippity flopping is a no-brainer. I can easily take both sides of any issue I am completely ignorant of and have no true feeling about.
The KOmmies, HUffies (particularly virulently), and DUmmies are sure going to be pissed when the grand messiah goes down in McGovern, Mondale, Carter fashion.
Come on now, BarackO hasn’t flip-flopped, at least not according to himself and just about every other liberal.
They are the same people who find a right to abortion cryptically written in the Constitution and when challenged on anything, they pull out a handy “ist” and denounce their challenger.
Obie doesn’t have a position on anything because libs are windsocks and they believe that is just fine.
Wait a second…. this guy used to favor Obama…now he is conflicted and uncertain… but if neither Obama nor McCain impresses him, he is going to vote for Bob Barr????
Does this joker actually believe in anything? Does he have any clue that politically, the only thing Obama and Barr have in common is the fact of being occasionally in close proximity in the Capitol building? Does he have any abiding political principles whatsoever, or does he just pick his candidates via Ouija board???
Honestly… I used to scoff at Ann Coulter’s assertion that so-called “moderates” are just people too stupid or too ill-informed to actually form any opinions about anything. She is looking more and more correct all the time.
Blowback

Frankly I don’t understand why lefty geeks are so excited about Obama. He is young, but it’s not like he’s a “Trekie”.
Think about it. How likely that he he has a clue about how cars work? – power plants, nuke plants, or even electricity generation in general?
If it was you (assuming you are under 40) wouldn’t you be running rings around McCain talking about energy?

the record low approval rating Democrat congress wants total control of power?
The Democrat congress that has given us Record level Gas and energy prices?
Why should they get the power?
The Democrat congress that was wrong about the Surge in Iraq..
Hmmm.. Maybe 2006 we used our emotions instead of our logic..
Hopefully America will wake up and get RIGHT on track again.
Kick the Democrats out and fix the mess.
