Barack Obama has flip-flopped on the Iraq war. Obama’s idea  to withdraw with in sixteen months has been thrown under the bus. You have to see the video of Michelle Malkin reporting on the situation. You won’t see this any of this covered …

I still wish conservative commentators would make more of the fact that Obama quit his church in the middle of this campaign, something we have never seen before in American history. If he’ll do that, he’ll do anything to get elected and he can’t be believed about anything.

Here’s the anti-war poster, and here’s the newly minted pro-war version.

You would expect any right-thinking person to be repelled by the style of imagery in these posters. They’re obviously so reminiscent of the Chinese and Russian communist imagery from the 20th C.

But clearly they speak to some relatively large segment of our population which is motivated by the hero-worship and cult-of-personality status surrounding Obama.

It’s odious and frightening to see it recreated here outside of a parody.

This talk of Obama,,wanting to have the acceptance speech
to a sports arena like atmosphere,reminds me of a person,
who during the 37′ to 40′ area,also had,and wanted to be
in a huge outdoor venue,and the cult of personality like
behavior to mesmerize his followers!

I’m inclined to agree with you. I’m reasonably sure that Obama hasn’t changed any of his “core beliefs”, nor will he.

I am, sure, however, that he is determined that the majority of Americans remain ignorant of what his core beliefs really are until after he takes the Oath of Office as President.

Senator Obama is highly intelligent- intelligent enough to realize (if a bit late) that if most Americans knew what he really wants to do on most subjects, they would vote for his opponent. This is because in most cases, his rhetoric about “the dysfunctional two-party system” translates into English as follows;

1. The Democratic Party’s problem is not that it’s “too far to the left”; in his opinion, its problem is that it isn’t radical enough.

2. As for the Republican Party, he resents the fact that it is even permitted to exist.

I am sure that, once he is in the Oval Office, he will do his utmost to correct these “problems”.

Whether the rest of us like it or not.

Just remember, folks- whatever he does to you will be for “the greater good”.

With him defining what “the greater good” is.

Given who the GOP nominee is, I wouldn’t talk too much about acceptable levels of deception. And no, in this particular campaign, it doesn’t matter much who we vote for. Obama would suck worse, but McCain will do longer term damage to the Republican party.

Obama would pick liberal justices who would enshrine as precent forever the right to abortion on demand, the banning of capital punishment, the right to homosexual marriage, the overseeing of the battlefield by judges who isist that enemy soldiers captured in action get Miranda rights, the “Fairness Doctrine,” and the right of the government to restrict the Second Amendment if the regulation is “reasonable.” And who knows what else in the socialist agenda.

As far as the last goes, the recent Heller case didn’t really say how much regulation would be allowed, just that the right to bear arms was individual, but not absolute.

Justice Hillary Clinton. Think about it.

According to his glaze-gazed drooling followers Obama has not flipped, he’s just doing what’s required to gain power. They’re fine with that because they believe he’s just tricking the rubes into voting for him so he can usher in a new world order based on the socialist principles they heard so much about about in college.

Obama’s the nudge-nudge wink-wink candidate and his acolytes think they’re in on the joke. Vanguard of the Proletariat and all; those who’ve fallen for Obama’s cult of personality believe they’re the con man (Vanguard) and ordinary Americans, “low-information voters” in their own parlance, are the mark (Proletariat). By any means necessary, dontcha know.

So Obama’s either a crass flipflopper or a crafty liar. Right now I think he’s a liar but there’s really no way to be sure. No chance though that he is now or ever will be an honest, principled servant of the American people.

Of course I do not endorse deception at any level. That is silly.

it is crucial to vote for McCain, because Obama will do longer term damage to our nation.

I also don’t quite get the glee here. Given the GOP candidates feeble gymnastics on immigration and drilling, I think maybe pot and kettle need to go to neutral corners. Some of the same people I see here gloating over Obama’s flip flopping defended McCain on ‘changing his mind’ on drilling and applauded his ‘seeing the light’ on immigration. And no, I’m not defending Obama; if we’re going to celebrate the completely expected phenomenon of politicians changing positions from day to day, let’s apply the scorn consistently.

The hell? Either you’re a mind reader or you’re starting up a new religion where you define what convictions are. And you further detract from your inane statement by inventing a straw man after stating someone you’ve never met ‘has no convictions.’

Im not a mind reader nor am I creating a straw man. I believe that Obama would say whatever he felt he had to just to win elections.

You see Obama saying “I will withdraw from Iraq” and for you that is written in stone. Yet obama himself has said he will still have some troops in there and reserves the right to go back in to chase Al Qaeda.

Now like any good leftie most feel that the Iraq war is illegal. Yet if it was illegal then why stay at all ? If it was illegal why vote to fund the war ?

Obama jumped down clinton’s throat for voting to go into Iraq. This despite the fact he never had to face that vote himself. And when it comes down to staying in Iraq he has hedged his bets.

So where am I creating a straw man ? It seems to me that Obama did when he piously claims he was “Against the war from the start” and yet still votes to fund it and prosecute it when its in his best interest.
