As for the video… I saw it via an email this weekend. It was something to behold. This video shows people who are and will be the leaders of this coming era. Democrats better run!

It is not the service, it is the willingness to serve your country that is at heart.
My brothers did not serve in VietNam (1y, then 4f), that did not make them less of a patriot.
You are serving now, most of us are not, that does not make us less of patriots.
As we retire, or go about our daily job, we are blessed by people who want to serve in the military. We hold them in high esteem (as long as they fulfill their duty), but without the support (moral and money) of the everyday man and women, without the heartfelt gratitude, their service would be fruitless.
The ones that see gratitude and a future in that video are the supporters, the ones that see a small insignificant minority are defeatists.

Want to know my exit strategy for Iraq? Exit is the strategy. What will result is a civil war between Shia and Sunni. Initially, it’ll be in Iraq. Then, inshallah, it’ll spread to Saudi Arabia…

If you all honor MB4 service, then you have to honor, Murtha’s, Kerry’s, Clark’s, and many others…serving doesn’t make you a patriot (look up Arnold, Benedict), and it certainly doesn’t make you a political analyst (civil war will solve the problem, HAHAHAHA!).
Reminds me of a priest who moved from a congregation after 20 years of service. He was the priest with the robe, the collar, he gave the sermon every week, he drew attention to himself, he is the one who held “court”, everyone knew he was the priest and served, he made sure of that. But every week for 40 years a lady took care of the alter, ironing, polishing the chalice, keeping it perfect. Who do you think was the real person who served the church? Who really served God?
Was it the person who officially served, and made sure everyone knew? Or the woman who served from the heart, without anyone noticing.
Well some people use their moniker and quotes, to state they are the patriots…but who really is the patriot?

What in hell do you know about reenlistments in the Army, or anything else for that matter? Your incessant jaw jacking initially was amusing but now it’s become disgusting.

I recognize that some such as MB4 love to provoke reaction from reasonable posters, I use my scroll wheel very effectively.

I guess you’ve never served because you don’t sound like you know military issues.

ad hominem would only apply if i were debating your ‘point’ and switched to attacking you. but i have no real issue with what you initially said (although, it was irrelevant and silly on its face and should have simply been ignored).

instead, i am making a statement on the merits that you are an ass. this is my opinion and my impression of you. and i make this statement so that you can hopefully learn from it and adjust your behavior. maybe, most likely even, you will instead fall back on your insecurities and resolve them the way you clearly do, by acting like even more of an ass. so be it. but i always try to help those who need it the best i can. and you clearly need it more than most.

anyway, i hope you have someone to hug you and tell you that you are a smart person and that you do have value so that you don’t have to go on the internet to try to prove it to yourself on a daily basis. if not, the rest of us will just have to carry on and carry you. certainly a small cross in the grand scheme of things.

And what logic do you base this upon? It seems to me quite a high number of re-enlistments for a single day out of the year. And also considering you usually re-enlist at or near your original enlistment date. I guess you’ve never served because you don’t sound like you know military issues.
