Who cares if he knows more about security than the economy. He will have Phil Gramm in his administration for that.
Obama knows dick compared to this guy.

Let Howard Dean keep throwing what little money the DNC has down ratholes like these stupid ads. They are being debunked so easily that they mean nothing except a little red meat for their own true believers.
If you parse the DNC ad, you find that he says stuff like “I’m not an expert on Wall Street” and “I don’t have the expertise to know [if Bernanke cut rates enough]” which aren’t exactly the same thing as saying he is ignorant of the economy. But whatever. He probably is an expert on 18th century agrairian economics.
Agree. But my point was that being on a committee does no equal knowledge on the subject. Besides, the Senate is notriously incestual, and being on a committee is more about pleasing the other Senators then it is about knowledge of the subject matter. That’s what think tanks are for.
McCain will get a pass on grabbing the fella’s shirt, but keeping his tie, well, that’s gonna be his undoing.
As far as the ads/clips go, same story day in, day out, too old, too out of touch, too many one-a-day vitamins etc etc.
It plays out every night on all the late night shows, every morning to the crappuccino moms, and every afternoon on the network news shows. Youth will triumph over evil. The message hasn’t changed a lick since February.
Actually, it’s the democrat’s fault for lying about John McCain.
wise_man on July 2, 2008 at 5:13 PM
No. It’s McCain’s fault for not, in his 71 years, learning how to talk intelligbly about the economy. Had he not decided to run for President, fine. But he chose to and didn’t want to do the homework. His fault.
McCain’s economic knowledge can pretty well be summed up by his thinking that $50 an hour is way below the market rate for getting Americans to pick lettuce.
And then he pretty much just goes downhill from there.
Isn’t Obama on some committee that oversees Afhganistan?
VolMagic on July 2, 2008 at 5:05 PM
You mean the subcommittee that he chairs on Afghanistan?
The one that hasn’t even held ONE meeting yet?
Which his excuse is “I have been too busy running for President”, which he said in a debate with Hillary.
Okay here comes one of my favorite political quotes:
After Truman was elected they asked him what kind of economic adviser would he be seeking. His answer:
“A one armed economist”
Because he didn’t want to ever hear “On the other hand”.
When our Grandchildren ask us what the hell we were thinking in nominating McCain, what are we going to say?
“Well, he was lame as hell, couldn’t tell the truth, was a huge pander specialist, and was loved by the New York Times because he spat on his own team, so we nominated him because of that.”
“Those are reasons not to nominate him or vote for him, not reasons to support. Come on Grandpa, what are you talking about.”
Right about now, our grandchildren will probably decide we have senile dementia, and probably walk away to call the nursing home to come get us.
God, I can’t believe we’re this screwed this year. Apparently we wanted a candidate that would take the all time lamest candidate title.
Now I know! It’s two liberal trolls posing as conservatives and/or two ‘conservatives’ who like to bash the republican nominee in the hopes that the republican loses and the democrat wins the presidency … hey, that’s the same thing that the democrats want to happen.

wise_man on July 2, 2008 at 9:26 PM
Well, I’m Conservative. I’m going to bash McCain, because he’s earned it by sucking up to the Left for so long. He earned it with McCain Feingold. He earned it with his opposition to the Bush Tax Cuts. He earned it by opposing drilling for oil in America every chance he had. He earned it with his McAmnesty plan.
Yeah, I’m going to bash McCain, because McCain is the wrong man for the White House. Obama isn’t the right man either, but he’s such a neophyte that he’ll be scandal ridden from day one and be essentially powerless to change anything. McCain on the other hand, would work willingly and happily with the Democrats, and twist the arms of the Republicans, to get the radical programs through.
This time, we need to make sure we don’t just defeat McCain as we did in 2000. We need to make sure we destroy him once and for all. We can’t afford him screwing us up in 2012 too.

Ummm, when was the last time a President had only one term? Vote Obama in, and you have him for 8 years, 2 or 3 justices.
Gee, good thinking. McCain will be only a one termer, then we can move our more conservative person in.
But then you have donated (or at least you say you did) to Hillary’s campaign, so I guess we know where your loyalties lie.
If you can’t have it your way, you will let the libs rule for 8 years…that makes a lot of sense.
WTF does H’Obama know about ANYTHING…he worked on some political action committee!?!?! When the media can’t use the words against McCain the speak parathetically, rejecting reality and substituting their own.
Just like this headline :
Bush administration halts solar energy projects on federal lands
It never mentions the reason for the halt in development…a threatened lawsuit by environmental nutjobs against the same rightwing idiots who want solar energy!!!!
Hey, if you want to smell like sh*t because you want don’t bathe in an effort to save water, or eat bugs and twigs (you know, they have feelings too) , that’s your business, but when you attempt to lie in an effort prevent me from living my life the way I choose, that’s mine…
Blowback

Wow. What disgusting pieces of s**t these people are.
Knowingly lying like this. Knowingly putting out their false propaganda.
For anyone who hasn’t seen it when it came out in April, here is another one.
Same deceit. Same editing and taking out of context. Same POS democrats doing what they do best. Lie.

McCain chairman of the Senate Commerce Committee, he must know something about the economy.

Obama hasn’t had ANY time to DO ANYTHING..
