Why is it that more and more stations are picking up Rush's program. I wish one of the radio stations in Syracuse would pick up Neil Boortz so I could listen from 8-12 and then turn on Rush's three hours. Love the "Right".

“Humorous parodies, analogies and metaphors are better left to such frivolous pursuits as muckraking in partisan politics, in which Rush is a past master.

<blockquote>He hooked me with his first condom update. Playing “Up Up and Away in My Beautiful Balloon” … LOL. roux on July 3, 2008 at 12:05 PM</blockquote>

Considering some public rumors, perhaps Rush’s only use for condoms is as “beautiful balloons”?

Thinking, concerned, serious individuals use them to prevent STDs, unwanted pregnancies and the deadly transmission of HIV Aids. For every one that might fail; thousands complete their assigned mission with complete containment…!

I guess if a liberal keeps repeating it then it must be true. What idiot.

Conservatism isn't dead. Since the uninformed, take care of me sheep have the same voting power it makes things difficult. 1 douche bag cancels me out. If someone makes an informed decision than I can respect their choice even if I disagree with it. If that same person can't make a logical non emotional argument why they voted that way then I have zero respect for them. Unfortunately there are more uninformed people than ever

What a smarmy little butt pirate. It's not surprising a creature like that is a regular nbc contributor. The change that dirtbag is hoping for is the complete takeover by the fascists in the democrat party. The sad and scary thing is they may shut down talk radio and the internet next year and if Rush's money was upfront then it might really be a bad deal.

These media elites really think conservatism is diminishing! Its stronger than ever. How clueless are these people?

The problem being that the middle Ameircan voter wants the nation to move rightward with more emphasis on our Nation and less consideration of world opinion. And the small pocket of globalists within the GOP Hierarchy are resisting with all their might. They think, for now, that all they need is the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the WSJ backing them. Who needs votes? In their arrogance they believe they know best. They learned nothing on 11/7/06.

Hence, vast numbers of middle Americans have become exasperated and simply dropped out of the process. Giving the appearance of a shrinking conservative movement. But thats not the case. Rather, its a shrinking GOP. Two totally different occurances. DD

<blockquote>Rush’s best moments were when the Dems were in power, look at the ammunition they give him.</blockquote>
Read the tea leaves. Clear Channel thinks Obama will win, the Democrats will increase their majority in both halls of Congress, and this will create the ideal environment for people to tune into the one show that already is syndicated everywhere in North America.

So let's say 50% of the nation is conservative, 50% of the nation is going to change their mind quickly?
Rush's best moments were when the Dems were in power, look at the ammunition they give him.
I am no big fan of Rush's (I was, but once an actor/entertainer reaches a certain level, they become obsessed with themselves, it comes with the territory of being catered and pampered), but he is the best at what he does, not because he is conservative (and I am glad he is), but because he is just plain good at doing his shtick. He is a great entertainer, but I think his audience is also hungry for the conservative view. Case in point is Hannity getting such strong ratings, we hunger for our side to be presented, even to the point of listening to Hannity.

<blockquote>"to a liberal, <strong>truth </strong>is"...</blockquote>

as Pilot figured, "Truth, what is truth?!"

Ironic to remember, Pilot was the "conservative" in his day.
But then, those who call themselves "liberal" are not classical liberals, only radical marxists. They have played revisionism with language. So whatever they say, following their lack of credential, following the word's convolution by revision, what all they say is <strong>unfounded</strong>.

All of the "neo-con" ranting also fails to come from the historical record. Even "revisionism" requires an original text to massacre. These radicals live the lie, wherein there is no truth in their darkness; they do not comprehend the light of truth, but deny its veracity and seek its obliteration. They ERASE more than they revise. (Arnold made a movie that's as much biographical as sci-fi.)

<blockquote>
“You know, I just think that that’s myopic,” Wolff said. “Things change and when they change, they change in a big way. And we are now looking at that kind of change. It’s the kind of change, which if you run a large public corporation, you’re supposed to look at and say, ‘Hey, wait a minute. There is something here and this is something that we have to take into consideration.’ When change comes, it is going to be devastating and absolute.”</blockquote>

The only thing that could CHANGE is potential federal legislation that would strip the media's ability to function freely based upon what the market wants.

Can you tell how badly this guy wants that? He's literally salivating at the thought.

“You know, I just think that that’s myopic,” Wolff said. “Things change and when they change, they change in a big way. And we are now looking at that kind of change. It’s the kind of change, which if you run a large public corporation, you’re supposed to look at and say, ‘Hey, wait a minute. There is something here and this is something that we have to take into consideration.’ When change comes, it is going to be devastating and absolute.”

The only thing that could CHANGE is potential federal legislation that would strip the media’s ability to function freely based upon what the market wants.

Can you tell how badly this guy wants that? He’s literally salivating at the thought.

I like to remember things. I remember so many predictions from people that are suppose to be smarter than me coming to nothing. If talk radio has declined in the past few years, it is because the news is bad. I don't feel much like listening myself, on certain days, when I know the news is bad. Or, when I know the host sounds like he is whining or repeating the problem over and over. I am anxious for good news and I am anxious for solutions. I listen to Rush because he is not like that.
As for conservatism coming to an end?? That is destined for one of those made for the trash can predictions. It is more wishful thinking, than a serious prediction.
Again, I am not suppose to be smarter than that guy, I am just a low paid schmuck, trying to make a living. I look around and i see something different. I see a nation and a climate, where the media is little more than a propaganda tool for the Democrats. I see a Republican party that has become the "meaningless" party. They have no spine, no plan and the only vision they ever seem to mouth is "We're going to lose seats!" And then there's more, but why go further,,, but with all that, we have a savior called Obama that, if conservatism is dead dying, should be 50 points ahead.
Conservatism is not dead, it's just fine. The Democrats are where they are because it has been handed to them by a Republican party that quit. Democrats are not smarter, better fighters or produce a better message. They simply show up on the battlefield each day while the Republicans stay under the bed.

Much truth to what you say here Bogeyfre...

I've been a regular listener for the past (16) years. What attracts me to Rush is simple; the man makes bold predictions and they turn out to be correct about 98% of the time. The man knows the Liberal media like no other human on this planet. The man puts words to my feelings on a regular basis. The man put a voice on Conservatism. The man pulled the covers right off people like Al Gore, taking on the media talking points (brainwash) at every turn. The man stood alone (for years) against a very powerful & very large organized crime network working in the shadows against the country, calling this network out everyday while backing up his claims with sound bites and facts showing the crimes committed. This organized crime network has been correctly labeled by Rush as the Democrat Party & the willing partners labeled as the MSM... Rush Limbaugh stood alone for years fighting the righteous battle against the enemy within; then came help in the form of Savage, Hannity, et al... Those who hate Rush really hate what Rush has done to this crime network. Those who hate Rush do so because they find themselves defenseless against the truth about themselves. Those who simply don't like Rush because of his personality; that will always be the case in life, as Rush is not for everybody. One things for certain, Rush gave millions of people a voice of reason in a sea of brainwash.

Rock on Rush!

My first thought when reading Wolff's "Things change" quote? I thought he was reading the script from that faux Obama ad - you know, the one where people are saying (obviously not verbatim here - it's pre-coffee time) "I believe in hope. And Obama hopes in hope. And the future is in front of us, with hope, and the past is behind us."

<blockquote>2. Rush admits it takes 3 weeks of persistent listening to understand his show. Only then do you begin to understand who he is and what he all about. Take the challenge.

I listened all through college, I became more of a Boortz/Gallagher man later, I stopped listening in the primaries. Rush annoys me a little bit, the dittoheads annoy me alot more though.
