Well stated and I agree completely, McCain despite his faults is the the only option for POTUS (as far as I’m concerned) and having Obama as POTUS would not only be a disaster for this nation it could prove to be dangerous as well considering we are waging a war we need to win!

Seriously, though, Obama’s money machine is principally driven by young liberals who are influenced by sites like the DailyKos and groups like Moveon and so forth. If those groups are feeling betrayed enough to start withholding donations, that could seriously crimp Obama’s money stream. It has already been reported that Obama only out-raised McCain by $1.5 million or so in May. The June numbers will be interesting.

And to everyone here who analogizes Obama’s move to the center to any flip-flopping by McCain, please don’t. McCain is ever-so-slightly right of center and has been fairly stable in his views over the years. He’s not a true conservative, no, but other than Thompson, none of our major contenders for the nomination (e.g. Giuliani and Romney) were either. We can take comfort in the fact that McCain is right on Iraq, is willing to do some kind of drilling, and is a major deficit hawk.

That right there…that pretty much says everything you need to know about the person who said it.

On the one hand, it could just mean that this…person, we’ll say, enjoys non-conventional sexual practices. To each their own, I suppose.

On the other, taken in the context of it’s post, one could presume that the “anal reaming” of “the good kind” is this person’s way of describing their personal view of what “good” leaders do to people of opposing political viewpoints, which judging by what I’ve seen from the Kosis, means screwing everyone who doesn’t agree with them.

Like I said, says a lot about the person who wrote that…

crypto Muslim – Under the Hadith if your father is Muslim you are Muslim unless you renounce Islam after puberty. Maybe he is maybe he isn’t. He did run to the one institution in Chicago not in the hands of Louis Farrakhan that sounds pretty militantly anti American and anti Jewish to me. His ties to the Palestine and Muslim lobby has been established.

Marxist- Obama’s career had been enabled by the most radical members of the SDS and the Weather Underground Marxist radicals holdover from the last generation. When he first sought office in 1996 he sought their support to get elected under their party platform. He lost.

Anti-American- the failure to leave his Church in Chicago and his myriad of anti-American supporters are enough to question his patriotism frankly he would get more respect from me if he stuck by his earlier position and not wore the flag lapel pin the man does not have a right to wear it.

Aside from that I think McCain will be more malleable to us than Obama.

Malleable is not a trait I want in my Commander In Chief. By all means, vote for McCain. If he represents your values, opinions and beliefs then so be it. But every time I read a thread here dotted with comments condemning true conservatives it just makes me sick.

I’m going to vote my conscience, and that ain’t Obama or McCain.

For the record I am an Hispanic ex military hard right hawk and I vehemently disagree with McCain on Gitmo, the border, the global warming fraud, and his untenable stance on energy, and throw in his stance on firearms, and his attacks on free speech.

You will not find me telling you to vote for this man but I am going to vote for him because the wretch the Democrats have given the nomination to is absolutely incompetent and dangerous for our country. Obama represents a clear danger to all of us. Half of the democrats already sense this and that is why I think McCain is playing to their side. Aside from that I think McCain will be more malleable to us than Obama.

I already caught you peddling those ACU ratings in another thread, wise_man. You have no credibility. McCain’s score over the last 10 years is among the lowest — if not THE lowest — for GOP congressmen. McCain scored a 65 in 2006. He. Is. No. Conservative.

According to the American Conservative Union, Obama scored an 8. McCain? 83.

So, according to you, Obama is “shifting to the right” – in policy, right? Or is he doing this for appearances only. And McCain, who has a score of 83, he must be at something like a 40 now, right? According to you.

It’s not as liberal as it was when I was young. It got more conservative for a while, and now it’s getting more liberal again. These things go in cycles.
