For the rest of us – for those of us not in uniform or without loved ones in the military – the call to sacrifice for the country’s greater good remains an imperative of citizenship. Sadly, in recent years, in the midst of war on two fronts, this call to service never came. After 9/11, we were asked to shop.

We know that is total BS. It was part of Pres Bushes platform and he raised it all the time.

In spite of this absence of leadership from Washington, I have seen a new generation of Americans begin to take up the call.

Already proven a lie.

I believe one of the tasks of the next Administration is to ensure that this movement towards service grows and sustains itself in the years to come. We should expand AmeriCorps and grow the Peace Corps.

What the hell were his idiot supporters cheering for? I’m guessing they have no idea who/what he was talking about, and thought this was aimed at Republicans (somehow).

As usual, he speaks with forked tongue, just close enough to the truth to give his Sunday morning surrogates room to argue that he was condemning Ashley Clark, without ever saying Ashley Clark.

I really wish one of the teleprompters would stop working.

The question requires the assumption that he intends to do that. Maybe not.

Barach needs to backup once in a while, pull forward, back up, then pull forward again. He needs to make sure that those who are thrown under the bus stay squashed.

Put some placards on it with names and photos of everyone Obambi has “thrown under the bus”…

And then drive it around and around the convention site during the Dem convention?
