Uh, why not? He’s just a man. He’s an employee of the people. And, in a (these days) not very honorable job at that. That’s apart from the fact that Clinton himself is among the lower types of character, even as politicians go.

Since, he’s no longer in office, he can’t (presumably) now raise any bogus-based FBI activity to punish you. Seems like there’s little downside to talking back. Maybe for once in his life, someone would tell him the truth. If so, he might be — yeah, I know it’s unlikely in the extreme — a hair less the puffed up zero he’s always been.

I think this has become personal for Bill for a host of reasons. The question is not can Obama make positive spin with this, its how politically savvy is the Bill Clinton of today as opposed to the Bill Clinton of the 90’s, and how much damage can he do, if any.

Obama’s a ruthless b**stard, but so’s Bill, who feels he’s been dissed. I doubt the Obama machine wants him stumping — a convention speech/appearance, maybe, and then STFU is probably what they’re after.
