Well, yeah. I figure that if the government gets smaller (hahahaha) that means they have less of my money. With less of my money, the less they can attempt to control my personal choices. That’s an underlying tenet of conservatism, and one that will keep the more Puritanical elements at bay.

I try to stay away from fried foods, this is a personal fat-fighting decision and I do not feel the slightest bit patriotic when I eat a salad…but that’s just me.

Apparently you have never been to The State Fair Of Texas. Last year’s treat was fried Coca-Cola.

Not surprisingly, Mayor Hickenlooper’s already been causing trouble for the Dems with his foolish pronouncement that every bit of merchandise at the Denver convention must be organic and union-made.

This is in conflict with the “global economy” crap that Democrats have been shoving down my kids’ throats over the last ten years. This protectionist turn is an amusing one, the irony of which naturally escapes liberals.

Note to Big Brother: Stay the hell out of my house. Stay the hell out of my life.

Let’s see – they’ve covered all the necessities of life here. Food (nothing fried, must be color-coordinated). Clothing (organic-cotton baseball caps only). Shelter (I’m sure the official hotels are union-approved, and they won’t change the sheets all week, to conserve water). Transportation (enviro-friendly, as much as possible, or they’re urging people to walk).

And they say conservatives want to run our lives? At least McVain isn’t taking my Sunday dinner away from me and replacing it with cardboard.

Any libertarian care to comment?

I prefer the social con statists. There’s no such thing as a drive-through sex shop, so it’s hard for them to really regulate what kind of kink I’m in to.

But it will be a sad day when the green statists ban the delicious Jack-in-the-Box ultimate cheeseburger and replace it with a pest-ravaged organic salad.

You’ve eliminated:

Fried Chicken
Stir Fry of any kind
Tempura
Fish and Chips
Donuts (unless they are baked)
Refried Beans
Fajita’s
etc….

Pretty sure the only constituency they aren’t offending is the Vegan/Vegetarian/PETA crowd.

I guess green is the new red….

But I’m not about to force my diet on anyone.

Democrats/liberals, from what I have seen and experienced, want to invade all aspects of your life and tell you “It’s for your own good.”

I think “1984″ when I hear Democrats talk nowadays.

So fried baby seal is off the menu then? Well, that settles it- I ain’t going.

I would love to see a prank menu featuring that and oven roasted baby manatee tenderloin with herbed new potatoes.

In promoting healthy eating habits, the Democratic guidelines say every meal should be nutritious and include “at least three of the following colors: red, green, yellow, purple/blue and white.”

So Lucky Charms gets the green light?

If you don’t eat at least 100 deep fried snickers bars and eat at KFC at least four times weekly between now and November 3rd, it is the same thing as voting FOR Obama.

I would very much like to keep politics out of my food as it tends to badly season food. To the degree of spoiling the mood, the appearance and the taste of the food.

Get out and stay out. I thank you, my cholesterol thanks you, my harden arteries thanks you, and my upper and lower intestines thanks you, my taste buds thanks you, and everything in between thanks you.
