McCain got away with nary a mention for his complete 180 on drilling over the course of a single month (Comments he actually made himself too) yet the story for the past week was Obama’s change in position on public financing.

This is getting a little pathetic. He can “Flip-flop” on things he didn’t even say now? Kurtz is such a hater, constantly calling his colleagues in the tank for the guy but this “Flip-flop” is the best he can come up with? Obama’s responses all along have been very slick, and his response after the ruling is along the same slick lines, which makes it tough to see the flip-flop.

The key is, he uses the word, “individual right”, but I dont think he means us as individuals, he means individual cities rights. He believed, and said so, that what works in one city does not work in another. So, a ban in Washington DC may be what is needed in DC, but it wont work in say Cleveland.

He believed that each case should be taken up individually, not individuals have right.

Very slick how he has now made it sound like he agreed all along.

What I want to know is this: When did Obama give his statement on how he’s all about individual rights on guns? Was it before the SCOTUS ruling came down or after?? I know this is probably a SmakTard question for me to ask, as I’m sure the answer is out there…Sorry.

You left out liberal Ruth Marcus and liberal Richard Cohen, both of whom wrote scathing condemnations earlier in the week of Obama’s abandonment of public finance. Fred Hiatt is the Post’s editorial page editor, and he’s as liberal as they come. I dare you to go tell any of them they are in the pockets of big oil and the defense industry.

What part of an op-ed is unclear to you? Some papers have very liberal op-ed boards. Some have very conservative op-ed boards. Some columnists are syndicated. Mark Steyn is a single man media empire. But it is all opinion, and labeled as such. It is the news that is biased. Look at AP or Rueters or other wire services reports. All slant, to varying degrees, to the left. Look at the "news" section of the NYT. Look at.... you get the drift. I suppose because NR exists, the "media" is tilted right in your view. Ugh.

To “upinak”: This may be a little off-topic, but there’s a Binyamin Appelbaum at the Boston Globe who seems to not like Obama. He wrote a devastating (for Obama) article about how Obama pushed for subsidizing private developers (including his buddy Rezko) to build low-income housing in his district, many of whom contributed to Obama’s campaigns, and the developers never maintained the buildings, which soon become rat-infested and uninhabitable.
