Dangerous game……

This is NOT what we, as people, need to address at this moment in time. This is NOT the time for us to be sidetracked by the ways of those who would stand in our way.

It is time for change! We need to rekindle the hope of America to embrace the change needed to rekindle hope! It’s about YOUUUUU, America!

(wild applause)

In these trying times, I call on each of you fall back on the one thing that has brought us this far! Hope! Without hope we have nothing! It’s about the children, and for the children WE WILL PREVAIL!

(wild applause)

America, I want you to walk with me into the future. DREAM of the future. I want you to walk with me, side by side, into a bright future of HOPE! Do not let these distractions stop us from claiming what is rightfully ours… a future of HOPE! Hope for America, hope for our children, and hope for the entire world!!!! Let’s CHANGE the world!

(wild applause, stadium bleachers collapse)

Off-topic:

The webathon for the troops care packs had an original goal of $500,000. With over an hour left, they’ve raised over $910,000. Their new goal is $1 million — the largest single shipment of care packs in history. If you haven’t, please give what you can.

I nearly spewed Dr. Pepper on that one. I needed a laugh Attila, thanks.

In every case the response time was way too long. I don’t think we ever got his true first response. I just want to say this before such an observation is ruled out of bounds.

He didn’t look too comfortable in that exchange.

swami on June 26, 2008 at 10:48 PM

I’m not one to defend Obama, but any politician who feels comfortable during such an exchange is too insane to be president. When you are walking in a field of land mines and you aren’t uncomfortable, there is something seriously wrong.

thuja on June 26, 2008 at 11:33 PM

In the word association game you’re supposed to answer straight away not wait 3-15 seconds thinking about it.

He sucking on those Marlboros pretty hard.

baldilocks on June 26, 2008 at 11:35 PM

Wow. If anything, it’s been interesting to watch the “evolution” of Barack Obama. He will truly say anything and adopt any position to get elected. We use that phrase very liberally, but I think Obama is one of the few choice people to whom it actually applies.

malan89 on June 26, 2008 at 11:35 PM

aengus on June 26, 2008 at 11:35 PM

That’s not fair! It’s a lot tougher when you have to remember what Axelrod told you was the spin of the day.

malan89 on June 26, 2008 at 11:37 PM

LOL: catch that twitch beneath his right eye!

maverick muse on June 26, 2008 at 11:43 PM

Was this game inspired by the Saturday Night Live skit with Chevy Chase and Richard Pryor?
