Even if you, like me, think of the presidential election as a choice between the lesser of two evils, you still have look at the rest of the Congressional candidates and vote for the more conservative of your choices. If, for example, the Democrats do not gain or maintain majorities in the House and Senate, then there is hope that between either a deadlocked or a more conservative leaning of one or both legislative bodies will prevent the enactment of leftist policies.</description>

It may be silly, but it&#039;s a lot of fun.  I don&#039;t get any royalties for my two hit songs &#039;Backdoor John&#039; and &#039;Che Guevara Beret&#039; but I do so enjoy singing them.
As so many of the cheerleader brown shirt wannabes like to bleat, McCain is the candidate.  Nothing I can do to change that; so I might as well caterwaul and make as many of his supporters as miserable as I possibly can.  I may be unrepresented for the next 4-8 years, but I&#039;m not doing it quietly.

My analogy to one of the cheerleaders yesterday was:  if you&#039;re being hit across the nose with a broom handle, your first thought isn&#039;t going to be &#039;Gee, this is so much better than being face down in an ant hill.&#039;  But so many of them want to believe...I don&#039;t know if it&#039;s hero worship; or some kind of need to believe that &#039;your guy&#039; is the &#039;good guy&#039;.  I feel like Roddy Piper in &lt;em&gt;They Live&lt;/em&gt;..and nobody will put the damn sunglasses on...that fight scene with Keith David RULED!</description>

		<description>Tancredo, Hunter and FDT ran absolute lousy campaigns.  They all tried go the conventional/traditional route. Get behind the podium when told to. Speak when spoken to.  Get in a bus and travel the back roads of Iowa, NH and S. Carolina when told to. Losers all 3.  They allowed themselves to be used and manipulated by the GOP Hierarchy, of which they all continue, to this day, to remain attached at the hip with.  [I&#039;m convinced that Rich Galen was working for McCain and the GOP long before FDT dropped from the race. He led Fred off into some obscure bus tour bog purposefully to get him off of the national stage.  A saboteur, he is.] 
Don&#039;t get me wrong, I love and respect all 3 of these guys - especially the Tanc. But they all went to a gun fight carrying knives.  Guaranteed loss. I&#039;m actually sympathetic to many of your sentiments, but I think it&#039;s ridiculous to sit out the election or vote for Obama, for an irrelevant issue that far too few Americans seem to care about to matter.

Of course, the creeps in DC first need to convince me that they can be trusted.  So, maybe if they come back in a generation or two we might have developed some common ground. Why would the left want to give McCain credit for anything? They want all the glory for themselves when victory triumphs to ransack our home.
