What we have to keep in mind is that elections have consequences. Even if you, like me, think of the presidential election as a choice between the lesser of two evils, you still have look at the rest of the Congressional candidates and vote for the more conservative of your choices. If, for example, the Democrats do not gain or maintain majorities in the House and Senate, then there is hope that between either a deadlocked or a more conservative leaning of one or both legislative bodies will prevent the enactment of leftist policies.

It may be silly, but it’s a lot of fun. I don’t get any royalties for my two hit songs ‘Backdoor John’ and ‘Che Guevara Beret’ but I do so enjoy singing them.
As so many of the cheerleader brown shirt wannabes like to bleat, McCain is the candidate. Nothing I can do to change that; so I might as well caterwaul and make as many of his supporters as miserable as I possibly can. I may be unrepresented for the next 4-8 years, but I’m not doing it quietly.

Nicely said. My analogy to one of the cheerleaders yesterday was: if you’re being hit across the nose with a broom handle, your first thought isn’t going to be ‘Gee, this is so much better than being face down in an ant hill.’ But so many of them want to believe…I don’t know if it’s hero worship; or some kind of need to believe that ‘your guy’ is the ‘good guy’. I feel like Roddy Piper in They Live..and nobody will put the damn sunglasses on…that fight scene with Keith David RULED!

McCain is a traitor to the sovereignty of this country. I won’t vote for him, regardless of the consequences. I’m done voting for the lesser of evils. I’ve finally realized that, there are indeed, absolutes for which one must take a stand. Just because somebody isn’t as bad as somebody else, doesn’t buy them an indulgence for being bad in the first place. The thought of his smarmy mug beaming at Cindy, while raising a hand to take the oath of orifice, is just too much to stomach.

Sorry Juan, you can douse yourself with all the cologne in the world, but still smell like colon.

Tancredo, Hunter and FDT ran absolute lousy campaigns. They all tried go the conventional/traditional route. Get behind the podium when told to. Speak when spoken to. Get in a bus and travel the back roads of Iowa, NH and S. Carolina when told to. Losers all 3. They allowed themselves to be used and manipulated by the GOP Hierarchy, of which they all continue, to this day, to remain attached at the hip with. [I'm convinced that Rich Galen was working for McCain and the GOP long before FDT dropped from the race. He led Fred off into some obscure bus tour bog purposefully to get him off of the national stage. A saboteur, he is.]
Don’t get me wrong, I love and respect all 3 of these guys – especially the Tanc. But they all went to a gun fight carrying knives. Guaranteed loss. I can’t help believe that they simply ran for President because the title “former Presidential Candidate” would look good on their resume.
Tom, you’re going to have to do more than this to regain my respect, dude. DD

What that tells me is that 4% of our non-immigrant population as been personally or closely affected by the unchecked invasion. Wait until it affects you or someone close to you personally and I bet you whistle a different tune. How many additional Robberies, rapes, DUI smash-ups/hit-and-runs, or how much more free eduction, or free emergency medical, or non-tax paying, or free social service dollars given, have to occur before people like you pull your head out of the sand and come to grips with the second biggest issue of our time (the first being terrorism, and third being the economy…which some would argue is heavily and directly related to the immigration issue)!!!???????

I think it’s ridiculous to sit out the election or vote for Obama, for an irrelevant issue that far too few Americans seem to care about to matter.

I have no idea how many Americans care about the issue, but whether it matters or not has nothing to do with their number.

Whenever I ask the Republican who don’t care about this issue what they expect the political effects of tens of millions of new Democratic voters to be, I get ………………… silence.

Whenever I ask them if they understand that our open borders policy makes Obama style policies inevitable, either this year or in the future, I get ……………… silence.

I don’t know, maybe Republicans are stupid.

Remember his “I got the message”, “secure the border first”, and his contention that it wouldn’t come up again since it was defeated? Why not just stick with his origninal pro-amnesty stance if it wasn’t a major issue to all but a few people?

It was such a hot issue that the candidate least palatable to border fence fanatics, easily won the nomination.

Just shows the power of this issue.

And don’t give me the “Democrats voted in our primary” nonsense – if a relevant percentage of the base actually cared about this issue, McCain couldn’t have possibly been the nominee. Face it.

I’m fine with an amnesty law ONLY IF Washington ignores it and refuses to enforce it just like present immigration law. Of course, the creeps in DC first need to convince me that they can be trusted. So, maybe if they come back in a generation or two we might have developed some common ground. In the mean time, I’ll limit my contacts with the bunch of dishonest backstabbers.

Rudy tried to divert the question by answering on the line of BORDER SECURITY by all means necessary before ever dealing with the any reform. Only McCain has a problem with the party platform. Yes, we are stuck with him now. All the more reason to pressure him to reiterate his compliance with the Constitution as it reads and as POTUS to keep his dirty fingers out of the citizenship pudding.

Again, I express my disgust with McCain for beginning his motto with ‘REFORM‘-peace-prosperity. What a jerk.

Let me put it to you this way Donkey, if McCain wasn’t a moron siding with Ted Kennedy on Amnesty he would, right now as we speak, be enjoying overwealming support by Conservatives. He’s not. This issue is why he’s not. And he won’t. Does he need us to win? I suppose we shall find out.

McCain is worse than “fundamentally flawed” in the political sense. There has always been something very wrong with his character, which is one of extreme “me-first-and-only” self-entitlement. He was wrongfully admitted to the Naval Academy with bad grades ahead of more qualified applicants because his daddy and granddaddy were admirals. Rules that apply to ordinary people don’t apply to him. He thumbed his nose at Annapolis because he couldn’t be kicked out or flunked out, because he was JOHN MCCAIN, son and grandson of ADMIRALS. He ignored orders and crarshed planes, because he couldn’t be disciplined as the son and grandson of admirals. He ditched the wife who stood by him, when he wanted a rich blonde chick young enough to be his daughter, who could finance his political ambition. He was caught taking bribes to his wife from the Keating 5, so tried to cover his tracks by imposing the McCain-Feingold nonsense on everyone else (laws only apply to everyone else, not JOHN MCCAIN). He entertained a blonde lobbyist in ways that worried his staff, and improperly pressured the FCC for her in exchange for …., because he is JOHN MCCAIN!!!!!!. He yells obscenities at other senators who questioned ramming his McCain-Kennedy amnesty through the Senate in the dead of night without debate, and screams he knows more about it than anyone else – because he is JOHN MCCAIN, a legend in his own mind !!!!!! He has secret “no press allowed meetings to praise Mexico as our dearest friend and closest neighbor, calling enforcement of the laws “Rhetoric”. As president, McCain try to rule by fiat and would make Hugo Chavez look like George Washington. Like the Alice in Wonderland Queen of Hearts, if any GOP congress critter disagreed with him as president -> “OFF WITH HIS HEAD- I’m JOHN MCCAIN, KING OF THE UNIVERSE”
