That’s not the point. As with WJC’s indiscretions in the Oval Office, it wasn’t so much that he was cheating on his wife that bothered me (although that was certainly bad enough), it was that he lied under oath about it. That was the impeachable offense, not the screwing per se.

Same here. Even if it’s an issue I’m not all that interested in, his pandering should be pointed out–otherwise his tactics will work. We need to make sure everyone knows about his flips and his flops–not just the people he’s wooing at that particular moment. If his changeover on FISA pleases the mods, it pisses off the MoveOn crowd. We need to make sure that both groups know he isn’t a man with honest convictions, he is a man who is pandering to you and hopes you’re too stupid to notice.

Don’t you love it when all you have to do is roll tape of your opponent to show why he is unfit for office? (H/T Hot Air) Barack repeatedly said he would take public financing. His party is suing John……

And sure, he’s got his band of zombies who won’t care.

But holy freakin’ moly they ain’t the freakin’ point.

Folks there aren’t any caucus states in the general election. And there aren’t enough Obamatrons to win without him an election without appealing to a whole lot of Regular Joes.

And while Regular Joe may not know what public financing is, he does know a liar when he sees one.

However, that point seems to not drive home to the drones that believe Obama is the messiah.

I hate most campaign finance laws, including McCain-Feingold. My only campaign laws would be (1) no foreign donors, (2) no corporate / union donors, and (3) all donations must be publicly disclosed. So I’m sympathetic to your view.

But I think we should be very worried about how Obama is financing his campaign. From whom is all Obama’s money coming? Are we really to believe that 1.4 million college students and young professionals went on barackobama.com and donated $20 each? I’m sure many did, but given the influence of the hard-left money groups over Obama’s campaign, it makes you wonder. And THAT’s where I think McCain should hit him.

I can’t help thinking the average reaction will be, “What’s public financing?”

Just spell public without the l. They’ll understand.

We have way too many people in the electorate who aren’t paying any attention to these things.

The public will start to pay attention at the end of summer, maybe a bit after. The last two to three months are the only period that matters.

(1) Obama is a fraud. E.g., the flip-flop on public financing, the awful way he handled Wright, Ayers, Rezko, his own life story (”I walked away from Wall Street and did community organizing” … “while my wife was an associate raking in the bucks at Sidley Austin, and then was in a highly paid position at the hospital”).

(2) Obama is Carter reincarnated. E.g., taxes, socialist health care, dovist (is that a word?) foreign policy, hostility toward Israel, an energy policy obsessively focused on reducing demand.

But this ad is a start, and I’ll take it!

Note to the McCain campaign — run that ad often, but also, make a series of them.

I hope the McCain team plans on keeping the heat on Obama each and every time he breaks another promise or tells another lie — which seems to occur on a day-to-day basis with The Chosen One.

It’s far more interesting to observe what this means in the context of the integrity of Democrat party internals.

Some people are so stupid. And yet these are the people that decide most elections. Ugh.
