Massachusetts Democrat to child rape victims: I will destroy you

posted at 7:00 pm on June 24, 2008 by Allahpundit

On the stand, that is, in the course of defending his client. He’s obliged to scar you for life, making sure you’re psychologically “ruined” with insomnia, crippling bouts of trauma-induced vomiting, and dysfunctional relationships for your entire adulthood. The Founding Fathers would have wanted it that way, or something.

If only the Republicans would ease up on this mandatory sentencing thing, he could ease off a bit. Blame them. Exit quotation: “It’s a lot easier to call it knee-jerk when it’s not your daughter or granddaughter.” Click the image to watch.

It’s too bad people get so easily sidetracked. Fagan is an ass and shouldn’t be representing pets not to mention people. His argument was a shambles, and he’s a pathetic moron.

It’s that kind of lunacy that makes people hate lawyers AND politicians.

There’s a difference between a competent defense and deliberately trying to cause trauma to a child.

Please don’t say that children are not coached in such situations, we only have to remember the McMartin preschool trial to know it happens.

About ten years ago, I caught a documentary on the McMartin case. It was a followup 20 years after. One of the boys who was involved (25 at the time) absolutely insisted that his testimony 20 years earlier was true. Problem was, it was proved that his story was impossible since he had described things that didn’t exist and people who were known to not have been there when he was.

You cannot understand the chill I got watching him – absolutely convinced he was a rape victim of a sex crime which had already been proved to have never happened.

In the end, he said he didn’t care what anybody said – he knew he had been raped and that the guy freed from prison did it. Tears, shaking, voice breaking, the whole nine yards. He flat out believed.

Wow, wtf is it about Taunton, MA that attracts all these morons.

Bad enough we’ve got Kerry and Kennedy at the Senate and Deval Patrick as Governor, but I get sacked with Frank and Fagan too? Come on, my luck is just unbelievable.

I just took a second look at this idiot and if there was ever a politician who deserved to get his email inbox knocked out with tons of negative emails letting him know what kind of certified jerk he is, this is the guy!

pilamaye on June 25, 2008 at 7:16 AM

Huh? What’s the big deal?
That’s how our pols roll here in MA.
Whacha gonna do about it?

thegreatbeast on June 25, 2008 at 7:21 AM

BTW, this is one of the benefits of having a full-time legislature.

thegreatbeast on June 25, 2008 at 7:23 AM

Thats Massachusetts for ya. This is just one asshat leading the State, the House if filled to the brim with them.

…it’s the malasadas at the Ward 5.

Alden Pyle on June 25, 2008 at 8:08 AM

What’s the surprise here, he’s a typical Democrat.

Amoral, idiotic, corrupt, thief, probably a child molester himself.

Of course he “feels” for sex offenders, he probably is one.

NoDonkey on June 25, 2008 at 8:47 AM

That guy sounds just like a lawyer to me.

Mojave Mark on June 25, 2008 at 10:13 AM

Rope. Tree. Trial lawyer.

Some assembly required.
