We can’t drill our own oil because it won’t solve anything, but let’s sue OPEC for not drilling more of theirs.

I had an interesting conversation today with a black co-worker, who was a toddler during the Carter years. She was complaining about the price of gasoline, and I shared with her that the US has lots of shale oil and offshore oil, but that Obama doesn’t want us to use it, but tax the oil companies, and that was tried in the 1970′s, when we had odd/even gasoline rationing and mile-long lines at gas stations at 6:00 AM. I also explained that McCain is in favor of drilling offshore, and that the scare stories about oil spills are hyped–how many oil spills were there when Katrina hit the Gulf of Mexico?

Obama might well have lost a black voter today…

Maybe if we give them a history lesson, Obama might lose some of his young cult following.

We did that sixty-six years ago, Baby. It’s called Atomic Power. You know, the “evil” power you forbid us to use?

As for Obamessiah’s claim that “we should wait”, “waiting for newer and better technology” is why;

1. It took 22 years to get the F-22 into even limited service

2. The B-52 is still our primary heavy bomber

3. We are still using aircraft carriers built when Ford was President (and one launched under JFK)

4. And our standard infantry rifle is a fifty-two-year-old design that has been cursed by the troops throughout its tenure (yes, the M-16 series.)

This “bait-and-switch” has been used quite successfully by the “progressives” to thwart nearly every R & D program for improving our military’s technology (and almost every procurement program just to replace worn or outdated equipment) since their “Camelot”, the Vietnam debacle’ in 1975.

Today, they are re-deploying the gag to do the same number on our energy development. But this time they are playing for much bigger stakes. The last time around, all they wanted to do was to defang the U.S. military, and so help the Soviet Union conquer the world in the belief that they would be part of the new global nomenklatura.

Today, they want to turn out the lights on our civilization once and for all. And start over again- without most of the rest of us.

But don’t worry about Baby Alex, their new “poster child”. He’ll have a job for sure.

When the “enlightened ones” need a country conquered so that they can have energy to heat their cappucinos (while the rest of us-who are still around- are heating our yurts with dung), you can bet that they’ll hand by-then-eighteen-year-old Alex a rifle and tell him to get on with the job.

And it will probably still be some variant of M-16.

Anyone else think that the Bell Curve is a hoax?

Failed Domestic & Foreign policies, gas lines, nothing worthy of merit accomplished, four long disapointing years and out he went to cause mischief and mayhem, violate the Logan Act and support evey tyrant, marxist and Islamic Fanatic, representing US as the Worst Ex-President ever.

How ironic it is that a former President that told us to roll back everything we do ended up the foreign minister of OPEC.

OPEC has no interest at all in cutting back consumption in anything. And still President Carter jetsets around the world on petrodollars.

the reps kicked the ball down the field on ANWR, on OCS drilling, on nuclear power, on refineries etc. they had the power for 6 years to get these things done. I know filibusters in the Senate etc but still you would think with majorities for 6 years they would have got something done.

I’m sure the dems with majorities will get stuff done. No one is going to like what they get done but I bet they get their dsocialism passed quickly. Look how fast the CFL lightbulb energy policy was enacted.

Too bad he didn’t do that with the Iranians, who established terror central under his watch. Carter also installed that nice fellow Mugabe.

Hansen, a government scientist, testifying before a government committee, saying Oil Exces should be tried and jailed — That’s just too rich. Government anything, at the top of the list scientists, are not honest brokers of fact. Never have been and it’s getting worse. When Government scientists testify before government committees to alarm and frighten, we are clearly reaching new for new levels of control.

The Environmental Marxists, that is exactly what they are, want you to believe that you should pay more in taxes so government can PRETEND to control the weather. How will you know if they are telling the truth or when you should just laugh in their faces?

The most recent example the polar bear hoax. Polar bears numbers have grown once world market hunting was controlled. Polar bears are nothing more than brown bears who migrated north and turned white to better hide from seals. They have only been around 150,000 years or so. If we need, we can make more.

It’s why the Democrats have been such pessimists about, well, everything…

No doubt, but Obama is still getting away with being relentlessly pessimistic while appearing to be optimistic (hopechange blah blah).

I don’t think the magic act will hold up for another 6 months – even with the complicity of the MSM.

That was a bit short. I’d like to see some of this.

Barack Obama simply makes me sick.

It is so typical that Obama would choose the failed Carter policies as the template for “hope and change”. Not a lick of common sense there folks!

What amazes me is that the Obama cult, some of them well educated, can’t remember those dark days of the Carter Administration.

I recommend term limits for Congress and raising the voting age to 50. 50 year olds were not taught revisionist history in school. They had to live with the results of poor judgement on the part of fools that elected folks like Carter to the Presidency. They have grandchildren that are fighting for freedom right now and perhaps have had the time to see the consequences of voting foolishly.

Just a thought.
