Me-thinks it to be a Farmall “H”, not an “M”, too small. Learned to drive an “H” with no brakes when I was 7. Child labor was the key to success on our farm.

Spent a lot of hours on both, eating dust, and dreaming about school girls to pass the time.

Farmall is correct. Massey Ferguson has a wider front tire spread, and Allis Chalmers is orange, not red.

That individual is John McCain.

Y’know, the guy routinely crucified in these forums for being insufficiently “conservative”.

But “conservatives” are looking for another messiah and unlike the left, they will not tolerate any straying from the reservation.

The corn-ethanol subsidies are a huge folly and couldn’t have been timed any worse for the American consumer, already reeling from higher prices on food (and most consumer goods) due to fuel costs, not to mention the cost of fuel itself.

The farm lobby knows how to protect itself from competition from foreign producers. Record corn prices do just that.

Wait, let me correct myself. Record corn prices AND leading contenders for the office of the President of the United States do just that.

You are correct, sir or ma’m. That is an International Harvester Model M. It was the main competitor to the John Deere 2 cylinder “johnnypopper” Model A back in the ’50s. I have my dad’s old superM, rewired for 12 volt, power steering, shiny new paint and brand new tires. Starts at the touch of the starter and purrs. The SuperM(bored out cylinders) would pull a three 16″ bottom plow. John Deere went to the 6 cylinder diesel in the ’60s and cleaned up market share.

When will someone in D.C. have the Malkins to stand against the tide of all of the PC environmental “cornpone” and fight this wrong-headed approach and expose it for the foolishness that it is?

To answer my own question, probably never, as long as sanctimonious two-faced liars like Algore and Daschle are getting fat off of the global-warming fairy-tale.

Not only does this impact fuel prices and the price of corn-based products, but affects the price of beef, poultry, and innumerable ripple-effect items.
