I watched O’Reilly last night the guy he had on was sure he knew what Imus really meant not what Imus said but what Imus must have been thinking. That’s right now we have the “Thought Police” first the “Word Police” and now they have extended their rules to what someone must be thinking. Orwell is spinning rapidly in his Grave. I think we should make Orwell’s book 1984 mandatory summer reading for all Americans, offer it free somewhere online.

Imus has a black producer Tom Bowman aka BigFoot who left MSNBC and came over to Imus when he came back in Dec., he has two black cast members comedians, Karith Foster from Plano, Texas, and Tony Powell who lives in NYC with his wife who is an author Linda Nieve Powell. Imus has been having people on to talk about Race in America since he returned he said, he was going to do it and he has, yesterday was Dick Gregory today Carl Jeffers. Imus has said, No it isn’t a rating grabbing topic but I said I was going to do it and he has. Imus already diversified, is he not allowed to comment on anyone not the same color or gender as himself? Is this United States of America or the old Soviet Union? The first person to use the term Politically Correct was Joseph Stalin…this isn’t American Culture- PC Speech that is Socialist Culture.

Meanwhile he has lost 3 people, who are very close to him Hamilton Jordan who helped him establish the Imus Ranch for Children with Cancer and Blood disorders, Tim Russert who came back on with Imus in Dec a good friend who knew Imus should never have been fired the first time, and George Carlin who was on the first week Imus came back on air..he told Imus before he returned in Dec I want to be your first guest back. None of these MEN wanted Imus to be off limits or for people to be afraid to be his guest…you know people like who work for Newsweek and Time Mag., afraid of the rite rev al sharpton. Imus found out who the stand up people were last year when he got fired…and now 3 of them are gone.

Imus is supporting John McCain for President so maybe Obama’s proxys are targeting Imus because Imus is not on the MEDIA BANDWAGON for OBAMA, it is like the MSM doesn’t even try and pretend they are for anyone but Obama.

Well you’re white… that tells me that you are racist, jobs are just handed to you, your life is easy, you have never faced any adversity. The list goes on and on. All of these advantages make some white people feel guilty. So they do and say things to prove that they are in fact not like the rest of us bad white folks. Some spend time posting in forums or on blogs condemning other whites for their terrible behavior. Some try to act as if they were black. It seems that a very large number of these guilt ridden whites are willing to make a man POTUS simply because he is black.

as for Imus, give him a break, it’s oxygen deprivtaion or ssumthin’, ignore him like millions already do. use the knob or switch. click. off.

When you ask about race, you ask about culture. Our race is strongly tied to our culture, for all of us. To deny these things is just stupidity for all concerned.

Besides, if there’s nothing wrong with his stereotype, then why’d he say he didn’t mean it that way? Even Imus doesn’t agree with you, at least not after the fact.

I’m just wondering by what term folks without any pigmentation can use without suffering the attacks of racism.

None probably. However, in order to combat Political Correctness, one has to stop being afraid of confronting it.

That said, I support his right to be unfunny, and also his employers right to fire him if he says stupid things or hurts their image/bottom line.

Agreed. His employer does not guarantee Imus the right to free speech. They provide him a platform, they can control to a certain extent what he says. It’s when the government steps in with the Kennedy hate speech laws that is the real problem.
