More and more I see Obama a product of George Soros. His core advisers are right from the Carter era (both literally and figuratively). Soros believes in a weaker America, so does Obama.

I spent the summer of ‘86 in Switzerland and people were uneasy. Reagan had bombed Tripoli, trying to kill Qaddafi. People were very angry with USSR for Chernobyl, for not telling anyone how bad it was. Switzerland had to recall all their milk products for radioactivity testing.

I was told to expect agressive questioning about US policy. I was on full tact mode and expecting people to be critical. I was so surprised. The people I worked with were like, “Reagan did EXACTLY the RIGHT thing. Qaddafi has had it coming to him for years.” Being a college student from California, I was shocked.

So, we can be misled by the Euro MSM into thinking there is no conservative thought on the continent, just as we are misled by our own MSM.

I could not disagree more. That’s a Europe that ended 30 years ago if it ever existed. Europe now is Brussels. It’s dhimmitude and multicultural rot. They love Obama. He is their best hope that America, with both Houses controlled by the Dems, to become a Europe lite. They have every expectation that all of Bush’s policies will be reversed. It is their expectation that we will join every world body, especially in the Hague, giving up several bits of our sovereignty.

His inexperience is even more compelling for them. They imagine that they will massage him where they want him to go. They will guilt trip him behind closed doors and he will guilt trip us publicly from the bully pulpit. They wish the election was yesterday.

My back of the envelope estimate of 75% favorability was too low. Today a poll came out putting it upwards of 84%.

I see why Ed posts this stuff – it allows people to foist their self-made misfortunes onto foreign peoples they despise.

Oh, and by the way, I see from your blog that you are Irish…based on the recent EU vote in your country (which I heartily appluad, in case you are interested) what makes you think that when I was talking about ‘Europe’, I was thinking Ireland…unless you think that Ireleand = Europe, anyway? European governments play to the people. It’s the people that love BO but the politicians live in the real world and many see that if the USA goes down so do they. Remember that for a liberal it’s all about the thought and feeling. That is why the dems can get out there and make speech after speech about how anti-war they are and how they will cut funding and end the war but when the time comes to vote they vote against it. Why? Because like the European politicians they live in a real world but have to deal day to day with people that live in a fantasy world. The real world of sane people fears a BO presidency because they know what will happen to not only the USA but to the world when it happens.
