my oldest son is scheduled to go to Iraq early next year and my two younger boys won’t be fooled by an Obama type when they are old enough to follow current events. right now we’re just moving past diapers.

we conservatives need to stand up and speak our minds. we have facts and logic on our side, there is no need to fear the dark side.

…It’s so very sad the fate of our nation, and hence the rest of the world, resting in the hands of idiots who are easily swayed by the flowerly rhetoric of a talented orator. Our educational system has failed multiple generations now, by teaching them that no truth is objective, so they can project all their hopes and dreams onto Obama!..

Buck it up JustTruth. It ain’t over till they put us in the ground. I have a 24 year old USMC son and a daughter starting college. They don’t buy into the Obama crap and neither do a massive number of other people. It may not be a majority come November but we will continue to be a force they can’t silence. This country has a great future, we just have to never give up no matter what the circumstances are. Talk it up in places that this. At work. In local blogs. Bumber stickers. Whatever it takes to keep the flames fanned. I want to think that I would make people like Ben Franklin, James Madison, George Washington and other founders proud of me.

It’s the perfect storm…failing to teach consequences, indoctrination of the idea that all truth is subjective, warped minds from creating virtual worlds online, and brains conditioned to self-delude by years of highly successful and scientific marketing campaigns that studied teenagers brains watching MTV so that they could be convinced of anything, all lead down the primrose path by hippies and drug-users who warped their minds on too much dope int he 60’s and and by taking over education/media/politics are now set to reap the reward of a lifetime of effort all aimed at grabbing power.

And we get to witness it. Wow…truly historic times. I really, truly didn’t hink they could make it happen. My parents (hipies) always said all they needed was to take over one generation in education, journalism and politics. Have they succeeded? I guess we’ll know Nov 5th.

It will be even tougher if certain Republicans do not stop constantly bitching about their own nominee. After all this damn election has been going on forever and ever, if it was just McCain Republicans had plenty of time and opportunity to come up with someone else.

To be truthful, I think McCain is probably the only well known Republican out there who has a chance at winning this year.

When McCain says he supports the pro life side of the argument, and then says that he won’t support a constitutional amendment banning abortion, is that a flip or a flop or just an experienced political operative? When McCain says he opposed Gay Marriage, and again won’t support a consitutional amendment, instead leaving it up to the courts, where does the idea that he isn’t lying about supporting or opposing something come in?

Do you find it impossible to have a position without needing it to be enshrined in the Constitution? Do you find it necessary to have a written law before your position has any legitimacy?

I cut the the eagle out of a desktop-background download available on the official Obama site and redrew the rest.

Obama may have been using this eagle image for a while. The “presidential seal” incarnation seems to be new. And the arrogance behind that ugly display really made me angry.

So, let’s just say I re-made it myself. For satirical purposes, of course. Fair use!

Actually, Ace of Spades HQ explained the legal ramification. Basically, duplicating an official seal for unauthorized use, as with counterfeit money, is illegal. But Obama’s modifiedartistic rendition aligns more closely with monopoly money.

That’s possible.

However, the Monday before Ronald Reagan mopped up the floor with Jimmy Carter, all the networks–all three of them then–were touting polls showing it “way to close to call.”

But a few years later I read something–I forget what now–but in a recap of that election on the same Monday night Jimmy was told on Air Force One by one of his pollsters that he was going to lose, and he laid his face to the window, and wept.

Poor thing.

Anyway, it’s pretty much forgotten now just how much the media hated Reagan, but they did, and what struck me on reading that was how Jimmy’s pollster was so certain when we were all being told it was a dead heat.

So I’ll take that, and I’ll take that Barry has polled consistently worse than he’s performed, and I won’t believe a single poll I read till November 11th.
