I wonder how much they’ll be mindlessly cheering, when they find out the DemOrats have cleaned their savings accounts out, with higher fuel prices, and taxes? And are any of these cheering fools ready for a Hugo Chavez type of government???

No political leader merits uncritical devotion — neither when they are running for office nor when they occupy it — and there are few things more dangerous than announcing that you so deeply believe in the Core Goodness of a political leader, or that we face such extreme political crises that you trust and support whatever your Leader does, even when you don’t understand it or think that it’s wrong.

I guess there is a first time for everything, since I nodded in agreement with GG on reading this. Let’s encourage this sort of thing rather than mocking it.

Brings to mind something Winston Churchill said, “If you’re not a liberal when 20, you have not heart; if you’re not a conservative by 40, you have no brain.” We just witnessed growing pains.

Unfortunately, in this election, his alternative, Juan McVain, is nobody to get excited about, either. My oldest son just turned 18 and can now vote. What a lousy election to come of voting age in. I’m old and cyncial, and this election even has me depressed and disillusioned.

Obama has Mugabe’s genes in half of his body. He has been formed spiritually and mentally by anti-American causes and forces. Don’t think a Zimbabwe cannot happen here. We see a sick young generation, void of morals and standards being swept up by this ‘messiah’ and in todays world that is very dangerous.
