If NBC is stupid enough to offer Meet The Press to a certified motormouth buffoon like Olbermann, it might as well start broadcasting the show after midnight, because no one will want to see this moron’s rant-o-rama on a Sunday morning………..or any morning for that matter.

I think they will either give it to Chuck Todd or Gwen Ifill. Todd would be the best choice, some people throughout the internets are concerned that he is too concerned with the politics county by county and not good with the higher level analysis, but I only think that has been the case because that has been his job and he would adapt if given the Meet the Press slot. He was good with CSPAN, he’s been good with NBC, and he makes the most sense for Meet the Press. His wife is usually active with Dems but he, more than anyone I have seen on TV, does not hesitate to disclose that fact to his audience.

David Gregory would be a disaster, moreso than Olbermann or Mathews, even though I think Mathews would not be a bad choice. The people at Huffpo are just as mean to him as the people here at Hotair.

I want Tucker to take the spot.

Olberman is too much of a coward to do MTP. It would require him to actually debate people with differing opinions, as opposed to chatting with people who agree with him. Matthews will debate people, but he’s too much of a partisan hack.

The more and more coverage NBC gave to everyone but the janitor sharing memeories of Russert the stranger it seemed. But it could have been management’s way of sending a strong message Matthews and Olberman that they aren’t up to it.
As far to the left as NBC has gone, I wouldn’t be surprised if they aren’t considering Amy Goodman and Terry Gross of NPR. NBC is becoming almost as doctrinaire and one sided as NPR.
