No, He did not.
(Unless he did it during the last 10-15 minutes that I had to miss.)
First time in history that I have heard him speak on wide ranging subjects for more than five minutes where he did not do that.

I cant wait till Obama gets the nose-punch from Mac in a townhall debate.

Which is sad. The more entrenched liberalism is, the further to the left the “center” becomes. And only a strong conservative can turn back the tide. Thus my initial post at 8:40

This is why Obama won’t take McCain on in public forums. Obama is a product of the teleprompter. McCain knows his issues and has conviction. Perhaps he is stubborn, but he knows what he believes. When you tell the truth it is always easier to remember what you said. Obama hasn’t learned this yet.

I take it you know who was the head of the (R) party in 19080 and 1984.

From the 1980 Republican Party platform:

“We will halt the unconstitutional regulatory vendetta launched by Mr. Carter’s IRS Commissioner against independent schools.

We will hold the federal bureaucracy accountable for its harassment of colleges and universities and will clear away the tangle of regulation that has unconscionably driven up their expenses and tuitions. We will respect the rights of state and local authorities in the management of their school systems.

The commitment of the American people to provide educational opportunities for all has resulted in a tremendous expansion of schools at all levels. And the more we reduce the federal proportion of taxation, the more resources will be left to sustain and develop state and local institutions”

Is that not a call for wresting control of Education from the federal govt.?

In what sense is the DOE not a “centralization of the selection process” with regard to what is taught in schools?

Nonetheless, his answer was pretty decent.
