Its all to bash Bush’s buds getting the contracts. We know its all before he leaves office, who’s he kidding. Dem’s don’t counter it with a stupid statement like Nationalizing.
Get your asses out there and develope some alternatives. Thats what’s needed while everyones attention is on it right now. The last thing we need is to stay dependent on oil for god sakes.

We could have an awesome “peoples’ car” that gets 100 mpg…..a “folks’ wagon”, if you will.

First things first. The Govt must prove it can manage a large industry that makes obscene profits. Take over Starbucks. If the wait for a crappy, burnt-tasting cup of yuppie brew still remains at about 23.5 minutes, then we’re good to go.

Limey Geek toot sweet is written tout suite. Does anyone remember when the telephone companies were deregulated. I remember prior to deregualtion it would cost me 15 dollars for 3 minutes. When they deregulated the companies, prices came down dramatically. Who ever thought you would be able to talk to someone from coast to coast for the price of a local call. Get the government involved and we are totally screwed. We might as well move to Venezuela. The true colors of the Democrats are showing.

If Congress takes over the oil companies, OF COURSE prices will get lower!! Everybody knows that the prices set by refineries are just made up, that the refineries are producing massive, obscene and immoral profits for their owners, and that economics is just another word for “Greed.”

This is a lot more popular then one could imagine. I would bet any amount of money that if Obama stated this, the majority of his followers would agree.
They are just uneducated about the effects gov. has on free markets.
The irony is this…the lowest ratings of confidence ever for our leaders, and yet they would hand over business that effects their lives to whom they consider unworthy.
Figure that out…

Nationalizing oil companies? Yeah, that would work…about as well as the post office.

Converting the meager 5-7% ROI the oil companies get into another Congressional earmark revenue stream will guarantee that absolutely no money is available for oil exploration, refinery maintenance, or research. The refineries would totally collapse within 12 months under the crushing burden of government mismanagement.

And the foreign oil suppliers would probably cut us off for lack of timely payment (ala Medicare).
