I’ll never quite understand how someone who’s voice sounds like the screeching of a cat that just got it’s tail stepped on, ever made it in the music industry.

PETE HULNE AS BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN. I really hope none of you actually think this is Bruce when it even TELLS you it’s not in the video.

Nevertheless it’s fascinating that if this had been given a more ‘republican’ spin most people would’ve been lolling it up at ‘lazy liberals relying on government welfare’ or something, but since it was a video (A SPOOF at that) of Springsteen some people suddenly feel compelled to stick up for the working class man.

Working class man.

Dammit, now I’m thinking of Jimmy Barnes..

That guy is pretty good. I bet springsteen is pissed. Springsteen writes songs about how new jersey sucks, America sucks, life suck and how he’s so heroic and brave and will overcome everthing sucking. new jersey and hollywood deserves him.

1. Give up trying to tell people it’s a spoof. They watch it or read the headline and start mouthing off. No time to get the cite, but it’s in Proverbs or Ecclesiastes: (paraphrase) “He who judges a matter before he hears it is a fool.”

Even Allahpundit seems from the headline to have been fooled. If the headline was an attempt to test the stupidity of the people here, good job, but may he please say so. Otherwise, nice attempt at covering (June 17, 2008 at 1:14 PM).

2. The song and video, while in places disrespectful or just plain odd (the montage of famous people makes no sense), makes a point. Rich or poor, if a person is waited on by a server or whatever, they are OWED respect and good service. Lazy@$$es in a welfare mentality, thanks to liberals.

Bruce’s politics suck but “The Wild, the Innocent and the E Street Shuffle” is one of my favorite albums of all time. Springsteen runs the gamut from ballsy bar bandleader to troubadour on that record.

Loved the parody, too. “Get back to work”. Heh. That’s comedy gold.
