Don’t have one of those but I do have a framed handwritten letter from H.W. Bush (41). It’s hanging proudly next to my honorable discharge from the Marine Corps.

Then a full-page ad showing an attractive teenager wearing a donkey pin, smiling and saying. “Got Gardisil?”

I’m not disagreeing with that. In fact, I literally mean speaker, as in his presentation rather than the script. Even still, he moves people. That much is obvious.

He’s only incredible if you don’t listen to the words. And most people don’t. The only quotes of him talking are, “hope . . . change,” stupid thing he denies is stupid and then later tries to fix, and “That crook/idiot/hatemonger is not the wise man I knew.” His incredible speeches are as memorable as those of Millard Fillmore.

Sorry, but if you look at the real BO, not so impressive.

I might be inclined to give him a break on this one. She’s twice the size of Rhode Island.

This country has a tendency in certain areas to be traditionalist and anti-hip. And the more we’re sold “change” that’s “beneficial” by being told we’re out of step or unhip, the more we resist.

Remember those ridiculous but hailed-as-hip ads showing an animated George Washington touting the Sakagewea dollar?

How about the metric system? We’d be so much more with it on the world stage if we’d just worship at the altar of ten instead of being so backward and benighted.

And of course we’re scolded from time to time by the enlightened for our money which is all the same size and color and just so outdated looking compared to the currencies of our betters throughout the world.

So just keep this stuff comin’ morons. It never works.

When I was at Harvard Law School, I was surrounded by young versions of Barack Obama. Their arguments and philosophy are grounded in neomarxist theory and are driven by emotion. Some of these leftists are really fiery — i.e. Jeremiah Wright — and their arguments come out as screeds titled “God Damn America!!!” Others fancy themselves more “contemplative,” and their constant search for “meaning” yields the constant verbal tics you complain of. I assume Obama is a contemplative leftist.
