Not only is Jerusalem not mentioned in the Koran, but that Haddith has Mohammed admitting the whole thing was a hallucination.

Which is pretty obvious, really when you think about it. I mean Christians have a hard time getting people to believe in Intelligent Design – but imagine arguing the logic of Mohammed REALLY flying off to Jerusalem on a donkey with a woman’s head before leaping off into heaven to meet Moses & Jesus before returning back home in time for dinner.

The upshot of which is that a) Islam has no connection to Jerusalem (except, possibly, an uncredited hallucinogenic connection) and b) Palestinian Arabs have no sovereign rights over Jerusalem because there’s never been a Palestinian Arab state.

The Arabs are occupying Jerusalem (especially Al Aqsa), not the other way around.

But I do have some limited respect for it, in that this is probably the only time millions of Arab viewers will ever get a chance to hear someone argue and debate the other side. In a portion of the world that has greatly limited debate and often shut out the other side completely, it’s good to see them get some sort of opposing viewpoints kicked in.

Jerusalem 100% for the Jews is the only way that peace can happen. There is no way that one city can be the capital of two different states. And Jerusalem is in the MIDDLE of Israel.

Arafat turned down the Clinton peace deal because he wanted all of Jerusalem. Jerusalem should be 100% Jewish capital, and Al Aqsa should also be under Israeli jurisdiction.

There is no Arab claim to either – other than their imagination.

Well, actually, bin Laden at least can be held for crimes committed on US soil. I don’t see any problem with that. He’d be charged along the lines of Timothy McVeigh.

What’s problematic is giving a bunch of fighters from Afghanistan access to US courts, people who haven’t violated any US laws and have no business in a civilian US court.
