Do you know that the saddest number in this statment is the fact that one year is compared to one month. Do the math.
Off the top of my head AL GORE does not use 232 times the energy of the american citizen. It is just 10 or 20 times .

Ya know, the cops tend to check out houses which have very high electric consumption, or a surge, and frequently find sophisticated marijuana farms.

Is Al Gore, III living in Dad's basement?

<blockquote>However, there’s no question the man made global warming is considered an established fact by the overwhelming majority of the MIT faculty.

freevillage on June 17, 2008 at 10:49 PM</blockquote>

Yep, and if their funding depended on believing in a flat-earth, they would believe that too. It's all about the dollars.

This earth is getting cooler, not warmer and has been since 1998. It will eventually start getting warmer again as soon as the sun moves back into it's sunspot cycle. The earth gets slightly warmer and slightly cooler on a cycle of about twelve and that is completely years is normal. It’s not caused by man and there is absolutely nothing anyone can do about it.

But believing in global warming brings many dollars to many research institutions. And naturally when it comes to funding they are willing to turn a blind eye to the temperature record that clearly shows global warming is a myth and a hoax. It’s our tax dollars that sustains the global warming hoax, American’s have been forced to pay nearly a trillion dollars for “global warming research” so far since the early 1980’s.

Cut all the funding for global warming research and see how fast the boys at MIT change their minds on the matter. It will happen over night.

That is the reason that engineers in most fields in Japan, have got to work in the field for some time before they can do any designing.

misterpeasea: Nailed it in one. The same is true of the IPCC findings. If you read the summary, you come away with "OMG teh Sky is falling! We're doomed!" If you read the *actual* research data (which interestingly is compiled by a panel of actual scientists and always released to no fanfare months after the summary), there's nowhere remotely the same degree of alarmism.

In the last report, one of the standout issues was that since CO2 alone is simply not a very effective greenhouse gas, especially in such low quantities (currently around 380 ppm), the only way you get doomsday global warming is if the CO2 warming causes a positive feedback loop with water vapor (which is a very effective greenhouse gas, and far more common). In the summary, they declared this to be the case, and swapped it in to replace yon discredited hockey-stick graph as proof.

But in the actual research, you find that this was one of *three* models - one that presumed positive feedback (more warming causes more evaporation, causes more clouds, traps more heat), one that was neutral (the minor warming from CO2 greenhouse effect is offset by atmospheric equilibrium), and one that involved negative feedback (slight warming from CO2 causes more evaporation that increases cloud cover increasing planetary albedo and cools the planet). There were three models because they had no idea which was correct... each was an assumption. Despite the fact that positive feedback loops are extremely unusual in nature, and that there has not been observational evidence of any positive feedback (indeed, the last ten years fly in the face of it), that was the model selected by the writers of the summary... the other two inconveniently did not support doomsday global warming.

In the beginning the Goracle created the Internet. And the ether was without form, and dataless; and no bandwidth was avaiable to the masses. And the spirit of the Goracle laid copper and fiber to all corners and nodes of Mother Earth.

Then the Goracle said, "Let there be a Dire Emergency!" So there was acceptance and proclamations among all that followed and worshiped the Goracle. The Goracle saw that the Dire Emergency was believed and increased his cult following. So the Goracle seeing the profit to be made, separated the Dire Emergency from the Profit. The Goracle named the Dire Emergency "Man Made Global Warming <em>(Climate Change in the Modern Day Standard version)</em>", and the Profit he named "Carbon Credits". And the Goracle saw that it was good and that no man stood against him for to stand against him was to stand against the Mother Earth, Goddess above all. And the Goracle saw that no man could call him hypocrite, for to do such would bring great crying and gnashing of teeth at the proclaimer, such that he would be shouted down and held beneath the feet of the chosen.

<blockquote> I’ll just cut straight to the heart of the matter and say that when I went back to college to get my master’s degree in engineering after a number of years in the work force, I spent the majority of my time in class refuting my professors’ teachings. This did not put in me in good graces with the professors as it was so disruptive to the class. It was difficult for me to accept and adjust to testing on the material taught in class vs. “reality” and my experience… It was a real eye-opener and this was in engineering, for Christ’s sake!

<blockquote>However, there’s no question the man made global warming is considered an established fact by the overwhelming majority of the MIT faculty.</blockquote>

Insufficient data (and data points) results in inaccurate modeling, regardless of the prestige of the faculty or the size of the population of neighboring states and cities.

Should I even mention the arrogance and general bigotry involved in such a statement about BF, KS? How about an example then, since your view is so slanted? Huntsville, Alabama ("Al-a-Bama!" - Forrest Gump) and Cocoa Beach, Florida...Mercury, Gemini, & Apollo missions. Most likely the greatest human accomplishments in the history of mankind. Nearby major metropolitan areas - 0. Nearby major universities and distinguished faculties - 0. Located in the North-East with elite intelligencia or in the South with morons (everyone knows that only bigoted, moron in-breeders live in the South!) - South.

Those that can, do. Those that can't, teach at universities.

I won't mention my knowledge of weather, modeling, detection, data points, or even data gathering. I'll just cut straight to the heart of the matter and say that when I went back to college to get my master's degree in engineering after a number of years in the work force, I spent the majority of my time in class refuting my professors' teachings. Not to mention a vested interest in GW-related research grants. It's the $cience!

Al B(G)ore created carbon credits to cover his excesses. Like a drunk saying I only had one beer to the officer who pulls them over and find their BAT is 1.2.

Of course, the Goracle was confronted with his enormous energy use during Senate hearing a couple of years ago. When confronted, he told the Senators impaneled, with a straight face that it was alright for he, the Goracle, our oracle to use more power than an nuclear submarine because he lives a "carbon neutral" lifestyle. He explained to the panel that he owns his own carbon offset company and thus purchased carbon credits from himself.

In other words, the Goracle can use as much energy as he wants because with his carbon credit trading company he is able to take money out of his right pocket and place it into his left pocket. This act causes grace upon the Goracle that no carbon sin hath been committed.

You see, carbon sins are only for the little people. Al Gore and his elitist friends can use all the energy they want because they will be above the system. While me and you get to pay ten time more for energy that we do now. Isn’t that special?

And all of this to solve the global warming crisis, which of course is a hoax.

One reason for increased energy usage is the extensive use of grow-lights for growing indoor plants. Marijuana growers have been caught due to their increase in electricity usage. Just sayin'.
