Hey, Tucker and Luke even look kind of alike. Has anyone ever seen them in the same room together?

What a terrific interview.

I’m sorry about what happened, but it’s not a fascinating topic.

I love American success stories, and stories about good decent people, and Tim Russert was both. Seems like his son is too.

By this measure Tim Russert lead a successful life.

How come no one has mentioned Andrea "it-was-widely-known that-Joe-Wilson's-wife-worked-at-the-CIA" Mitchell? Something about her grotesquely under-reported role in the Plame scandal has me hankering for more.

I know the Russert and NBC family is grieving but watching the Sunday morning Meet the Press they said that Tim could have been anything to include the Pope or the President. Guys, get a grip. Tell stories and refer to his constant love of family AND country. Especially try and remember that when you bash this nation for everything that it has stood for in the past. Your friend knew it and unfortunately the rest of you tend to think that our best days are behind us. Your friend did not. I don't think Keith O., Chris M., or the rest of you have a clue. Tom B. may have not have forgotten just yet, but he will just as quickly as the Dems in Congress forgot about uniting after 9/11. They are all right about one thing - NBC will never be the same - and it will never ever ever regain the respect it once had. Sunday morning used to be one exception. No longer. As soon as someone crosses the line on Meet the Press, they will show some clip or quote from Russert to show that they are just continuing what he would have wanted. Good luck guys, you don't have a prayer.

Wow, Luke is one exceptional guy - I hope he goes into broadcasting - with his graciousness and ability to articulate he would resonate much better with Americans then those people with their axes to grind.

I was impressed a couple years ago listening to Tim Russert discuss his book about his dad. I am now more impressed, not only after hearing Luke talk about Tim, but hearing Luke's appreciation and gratitude to so many others - you could say it is the final chapter to Tim's book.

Bob Costas is NBC's best interviewer. His old TV program was a delight wherein he could leave Mario Cuomo sputtering, speechless or Larry King begging for mercy. Sadly he walked away from it years back to concentrate on sports. Would he could be talked back.

Apparently Mr. Russert was busy with coaching replacements at times, and had Gwen Ifill chosen to get ready for such a day.

He's not really replaceable for all his functions, as Mr. Zucker said.

Brokow for now.

Just for laughs at Matthews/Olbermann, replace him with 'beautiful' Gregory.

Odd, but to be considered - Luke, with a good panel.

One name I heard for a permanent replacement was Gwen Ifill. That would be a good choice

What about E.D. Hill? She's awesome

One name I heard for a permanent replacement was Gwen Ifill. That would be a good choice

Please don't overlook Lisa Myers, NBC's Chief Investigative Reporter. Then theres always Geraldo. Also an attorney like Tim. I'll bet his agent is already working the phones. His views would fit right in with the NBC of 2008.
